Great experience with excellent food and service. The caviar toast is exceptional. The lobster bites, while we were told they are a best seller and they were tasty, we learned we were not a fan. The fried bites mask the sweetness and flavor of the delicate lobster. The steak was cowboy ribye was seasoned well but the sauce on the side was a bit underwhelming (perhaps a pinch of salt or bit of acid would have elevated the flavor profile). The scallops were fabulous, seasoned well with excellent mouth feel. The Chilean sea bass was Again exceptional and well seasoned. We highly recommend this place.

We had a fabulous anniversary dinner at Hall’s. The setting is beautiful – we even were treated to live music. The food was so good .. we started with apps – oysters and hot lobster bites for me, my wife had sushi. For our entres my wife had the Chilean Sea Bass, and I had the most fantastic med rare filet mignon – so amazingly tender and tasty. We wrapped the meal with a couple of scrumptious desserts (Strawberry/key lime sorbet, and the ode to papa – dark chocolate bites with peanut butter ice cream treat). The evening was made extra special by our server Bailey, seeing to our every want and need – and more. Hall’s definitely made our anniversary dinner one to treasure.

We had the absolute best experience at Halls Catch last night! We were celebrating and wanted something different and special and Halls Catch definitely delivered. From walking in the door to the after dinner drinks, they were top tier all the way.

We were excited to learn they had a sommelier in house. She came over and suggested a bottle of champagne and we loved her recommendation!

Our server Logan was FABULOUS! He recommended different things without being pushy, never made us feel rushed, and checked on us constantly without hovering.
We decided on the seafood tower for two, the caviar, and my husband had the swordfish and I had the filet mignon. We shared the brûlée creamed corn and crab for a side. Everything was perfect. Every bite was incredible from beginning to end.

For dessert we had their espresso martini which was made with dark rum- fantastic! Then they brought us a flight of the most delicious treats we’ve ever had! Apple walnut salted caramel cake with vanilla ice cream, their famous chocolate cake, and their “ode to papa” which is a gooey snickers type brownie with peanut butter ice cream. WOW.

Several managers came by to check on us and just say hello, we even had the owner come over and thank us for coming- we’ve just never had such an incredible experience as we did last night at Halls Catch, and we can’t wait to go back again!

I want to start by saying I’m grateful everyone we interacted with had a great attitude through the night. Nobody was rude or annoyed. We were the only ones there from the time of our reservation until close which was great, I hate large crowds of loud people. We made our reservation for 11pm NYE a day or two in advance on the website, so it’s not like we walked in last minute. We noticed they posted that they were closing AT 11 later on so we called to ask and said 11 was last seating and that we were 100% good for our reservation. We decided day-of (today) that 11 felt like it kept getting farther and farther so we looked at the website to move up our time but they were all greyed out, we figured they were booked up and waited. Well, right when we got there at about 10:45 we were told they were closing and asked if we could sit at the chophouse next door instead. We said that was okay, assuming we could still order from the catch menu since that’s where we made our reservation and had been excited to try… they are the same name after all despite being on opposite sides (Halls).. They told us they “might be able to get us an appetizer but couldn’t offer the whole menu.” Okay.. so we took a few minutes to flip back and forth between the chophouse menu before asking to double check. The manager walked us back to catch where we sat down and had our full meal. At that point I was kind of uncomfortable feeling like I was keeping everyone from leaving early, even though we had a reservation and called earlier in the day to confirm that time was okay. The tower appetizer was cool, made for a good photo to send to people who hadn’t been. The swordfish was great and the gravy was our favorite part. The scallop dish was good but with 4 scallops on the plate, no rice or any kind of veggie, it would not be enough without ordering something else whereas the swordfish came with asparagus and potatoes. Good thing we did order sides! The potatoes were great, I would not order the broccoli again. Chef said the first batch got burnt and didn’t bring them out with the food, then brought us out the redo which was pretty tough to cut through. Seemed rushed, understandably if we were the only ones there holding everyone up from their fun NYE off in time for fireworks. They did bring us a glass of champagne for midnight. We ordered the brownie and for $18 I was honestly expecting more than a rock hard half of a little Debbie sized brownie. Overall, it was not worth the $400 we spend on these items, and I felt uncomfortable being escorted back and forth between the two restaurants because they wanted to close early and then trying to accommodate us because we were excited to try the restaurant. Once out the front door and back through the employee walkthru.

We do love and recommend the chophouse, though! Just not catch.

The service here definitely stands out! My favorite dish of the evening was the chargrilled octopus. I also very much loved the broccoli. I was too full by the time it came to order a main but the seafood I saw going past me in the hands of servers looked delicious. Valet parking available just outside the restaurant. Did I mention the service?

5 star service! My fiance made reservations for my birthday, and everyone at Halls Catch made me feel very special. The food and atmosphere were great! We started with a lobster roll and OMG. 10/10!!! For entrees, I had the fish and chips, while my fiance had the swordfish. Although he wasn’t the biggest fan of the swordfish and felt it was rather bland compared to other swordfish we’ve had elsewhere, he still enjoyed everything else.

I never leave reviews but I had such a great time at Hall’s Catch that I had to. I sat at the bar with a couple of friends, there was live music playing and it was overall a really cool vibe. Busy because of happy hour but we were still able to grab a seat when we walked in. Great drinks and food, we ordered the lobster bites, hamachi, oysters, and a couple sushi rolls to share and everything was so good. Mikael and Britian were our bartenders, they were amazing and so much fun to hang out with. If you go in, make sure you sit at the bar. 10/10

If you follow my reviews, you know it is extremely rare for me to give a restaurant a perfect rating. But Hall’s Catch earned every single star.
Everything was on point, the ambience, the music, the food, and the service. We started with the Catch signature sushi roll, grilled octopus, and the lobster bites. (Hot take: The lobster bites are actually better without the honey mustard sauce, the flavor stands on its own!).
For the main course, I had the Chilean Seabass. I can’t even begin to express how good this was. The texture, the crust on top, and that savory Veracruz tomato broth took the dish to the next level. My colleague had the swordfish which was also outstanding.
A huge thank you to our waiter, Stephen. He was extremely attentive, gave great recommendations, and never made us feel rushed. If you are looking for fine dining away from the Broadway craziness, this is the place to be. We will definitely be back!

Incredible elevated seafood restaurant in Midtown Nashville! Our meal was outstanding. They take such care to source things locally like the mushroom dish David’s Mushrooms. The shrimp cocktail and the charred octopus were also great starters. I ordered the South American Swordfish, which was very elegantly prepared. My husband ordered the scallops and he enjoyed them. The server was also able to tell us where all the fish was sourced from. Lastly the popovers they bring are a shining star! Would recommend Halls Catch for a nice meal!
