Wow!!! We really enjoyed this place. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Maria was our server and she was very pleasant and gave us great service. I am all about customer service. The food was plenty and cooked to perfection. I have to say, I really enjoyed the butter toast. Yummmmmm! I didn’t know the biscuits and gravy was going to be that much food, but it was so good. You could tell the biscuits were homemade and the gravy we got had bits of sausage. Oh, it was perfectly made. We would definitely come to back just to try their other menu items.

This is the best breakfast restaurant we have found so far in Texas. We’ve tried quite a few. We’ve been there two days in a row now and both days my breakfast was absolutely awesome. I’m not a big breakfast eater to start with so when I do eat breakfast it’s very important. Today our server Jennifer was super friendly and handled the several changes to my garden omelette with ease. Boy did it come out perfect! Both my husband and I were so pleased with the food that this is going to be our go-to breakfast restaurant from now on. After all when you find something you like stick with it!

I am a month or so late writing this review but Hallmark is an amazing little restaurant! I had a bad experience at another restaurant that morning, where the eggs benedicts were horrible and me and my boyfriend decided to hop into Hallmark. I seen on their menu eggs benedict and I was hungry so we took a seat, and its nothing fancy but I love the country small town feel it has even though its in Killeen. The eggs benedict was amazing, the hashbrowns were great, my boyfriends soup was great he said and the waitress was very sweet! I will be back to try other items on their menu!!!

Went in for Breakfast and got the Trash Can Omelette and Biscuits and Gravy and both were Delicious, the Biscuits were so Buttery and fluffy and the Omelette had Chorizo which gave it all the right Flavor Definitely Recommend!

We figured we would check them out after the reopening. Great job on the remodel, food was good and served hot. The restaurant was clean and our server, Sandy, was great at taking good care of us. I had the Chicken fried steak and my wife enjoyed the liver and onions.

When you drive by this place you mainly notice the sign mentioning their catfish special. While the outside doesn’t stand out, it is quite the opposite indoors. We finally had to give it a try. We did go during the busy rush of that catfish special.
First note is that you seat yourself. As busy as the servers were (they were also down a waitress), we were noticed and told they would be there shortly.. and she was. She had a great attitude. She took our drink orders while we went over the large menu. Definitely think diner when coming here. We ordered chicken fried steak and cheeseburger meals.
We were delightfully surprised by how good the chicken fried steak was (pretty thick and not overbreaded.) The burger was alright. If you are looking for a quick meal, it is worth trying out. We will be back to check out more of the menu.

I’m so thankful for girls that still work her since this place is so busy. They know that menu everything is amazing about these ladies. Man oh man! The cooks are 100% I’ve never seen anyone complain. Except for the older man who’s always in the way. I know what people think. So I felt bad for them. I’m assuming he owns the place. He should trust his employees and relax. Come in any day any time and just drink a coffee and admire what you’ve worked so hard for.

EXCELLENT experience. We were visiting my uncle who frequents this restaurant on a regular basis and I can understand why. Everyone there was extremely friendly and the service and food were both excellent. The prices were extremely affordable. If I lived locally, I would probably eat there almost every day.

Not what it used to be.
Years ago this was the place to go.
Not so much any more.
Went there early evening on a weekday.
Wasn’t too impressed with the way it looked inside. It felt cold and uninviting.
Although we were greater and seated quickly ( due to lack of customers) , the staff acted as if they didn’t want to be there.
The menu had very few selections.
Ordered a hamburger ( bad choice) , it was some kind of processed meat that obviously had been frozen.
Served on a burnt hamburger bun and almost impossible to chew.
Luckily it came with fries, at least they were edible.
It really saddens me to see this once great restaurant, a historic piece of the city, to have fallen to this level.
