I have a hugeeeeee issue. The food is very good , no complaints on that buttttt there has to be someone there to speak english and understand what im trying to say. I think its unfair that I ordered 2 different occasions ans 2x it was wrong. I called the 2nd time to make sure not to give me the wrong food …..I ask for shrimp spring roll that shows photos and description of a spring roll ….I get some kind of wrap with lettuce cucumber and shrimp on skme kind of pita …sort of like a wrap. I dont eat wraps I paid for what I want, if u dont have it on your menu from DOORDASH, Please remove it. Its deceiving the customer. So when I called them the next time I order I tried to explain please dont give ne a wrap please give me the spring rolls, the nice gentleman doesnt understand a lick of english and I cant get through to him…he said we dont have anymore shrimps roll. So I said just give me chicken spring toll then, just SPRING ROLL. so I get the same type of wrap but im chicken. I do not want that! I had to throw it away. CAN someone please respond to this and please get back to me ! Please give me your direct phone number to someone there that understand english . Cause its not fair that we cant explain anything.

Ordered on Uber Eats and this has to be the most disgusting excuse for Indian food I’ve ever had. The food looks nothing like the photos. Rice pudding looks like shredded carrots. No flavor, no spice. Chicken Tikka Masala tastes like it was made with canned tomato soup and lentil soup was mashed lentils in water??? Naan was dry and burnt. Don’t spend your money here.

I went to Halima Indian Restaurant and tried the butter chicken, samosa, and basmati rice. The butter chicken was served hot with a rich, creamy sauce that had plenty of flavor without being too spicy. The samosas were perfectly crispy with a satisfying, spiced filling. The basmati rice was fluffy and just right to complement the butter chicken. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel warm and casual. Overall, it was a great meal that made me feel right at home.

Fantastic homie food! Struggled to order (good sign), trusted the worker, and ended up eating lamb curry, samose, and a creamy drink. Fantastic!! Explore things that aren’t tikki masala. Ask the employees/owners what they like. You’ll be surprised!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! This is a gift to Albany and this area by providing authentic and delicious food at a reasonable price to the community. Seriously have made this place a staple of my take out rotation and my neighbors agree 🙂 We love Halima Indian!

I love their saag panir and garlic. It’s sooooo good. The samosa with the green sauce is also very addicting. Coming back here again whenever I’m craving Indian food.

Terrible experience. The samosa was just mashed potatoes, the chicken tikka masala was overly sweet, and the ras malai was inedible. Biryani was just okay. The place looked dirty, takeout only, and cost nearly $80. never again.

The food was delicious, and there was a nice combo special (appetizer, naan, chutney, rice, main dish) for around $16. The music was also wonderful. However, there was not much room to sit — only about 5 or 6 seats total.
