I usually get battered or grilled fish(cod/hake/halibut) with garden salad or coleslaw on the side. And warm water. Fantastic on the whole. Including the quiet atmosphere. Cod is cheaper and equally scrumptious compared to the other fish options.

Foods good how ever the price to portion is absolutely absurd. I got the halibut and chips for $28 got the smallest piece of fish I’ve ever gotten from a fish and chips place. 10/10 do not recommend. Not worth the $60 for two people.

Our recent visit to Halibut Restaurant was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food was incredible, and the service was even better.
We ordered the Hake and chips, and it was top-notch. The fish was fresh, flaky, and had a perfect, light batter that wasn’t greasy at all. The chips were excellent, and the portions were generous.
What truly made the experience memorable was our server, Tee. He was attentive, incredibly friendly, and made excellent recommendations without being overbearing. He checked in at the perfect moments, making us feel like valued guests.
I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience! We will certainly be back soon.

First thing that strikes you when you walk in here , everything is EXTREMELY CLEAN . Staff were so friendly and attentive to your every need , fish was perfectly battered with a light crispy batter and the fries were freshly cut . Clam strips were crunchy and flavourful, the tartar sauce and ketchup dispenser were pristine clean another rarity these days . The bathroom was immaculate and that’s important to any customer who uses it . All in all a really wonderful experience I’m very impressed and it was inexpensive, 25.95$ for clam strips ,haddock and chips and a coke ! I’d definitely recommend this place if you like a nice fish and chip dinner !

I am not much of a fish&chips kinda person but our 2 experiences there were consistently impressive. You kind of know what you’re gonna get going to most fish&chip joints but this place separates itself by the way they cook their food to absolute perfection, not a spec of grease on ANY plate, the salt pepper & vinegar shakers SHINE! No dried ketchup on the tips of the bottles, the ENTIRE place is fascinatingly SPOTLESS! Which is waaaaaaaaay too overlooked these days sadly but this regular plain ol’ fish&chips joint has and maintains HIGH STANDARDS and BRAVO to them for doing so. It ALL goes hand in hand in this business. I forgot the young lady’s name to give her praise, it starts with an “M”. She is very attentive, efficient and kind. When she had the time she kindly came over to answer all our questions. We had the Shrimp&Chips (upgraded to poutine), the Haddock&Chips with a side of the really fresh coleslaw and fried clam strips. This will be our ONLY Fish&Chips joint to frequent at till we find one with equal or higher standards. No joke…

This place is amazing, new and completely renovated from the washrooms to the storefront and every inch in between. The food is excellent, I have tried the halibut, cod, haddock, and the basic breakfast menu and all 4 cheesecakes; everything is delicious and well prepared. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. My coworkers, friends and I have each been here many times since it opened and it’s always a pleasure and delicious. Today my coworkers and I went there for the Monday special and the Haddock was so good we honestly couldn’t stop talking about it the whole meal and for the rest of the day, we’ve never had haddock so good! The batter is light and flakey but not dripping in grease, the fish are thick and perfectly done every time. The fries are fresh, hot and unsalted which gives you the opportunity to salt them how you like them. The coleslaw is fresh and light without mayo. I recommend giving it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
