Nice atmosphere with nice New Orleans music. You can enjoy having a conversation without loud music and noisy clients. Food and service was excellent!!

Stopped for lunch while in town and was really surprised by this place. Service was great. Never had to ask for a refill on our drinks. All of our food was hot and delicious. Got the fried green tomato and crab cake appetizer, shrimp and grits, oyster Orleans, and a dessert. The manager Amber was also fantastic. She would often pass and ask how everything was and if she could get anything for us while our waitress was busy. Very attentive and caring. Everything was great! We will definitely be back!

The atmosphere and service was great. The food was very good and great place for girls night and date nights also. History: Love the oscar shell borders and base wooden doors. Yes doors and was told by the staff they came from homes of Hurricane Katrina. Beautiful and must see when you go and visit. Sorry no pics and told of this heading out the door.

Had the Charbroiled Oysters and Crab Cake at Half Shell Oyster House — both were awesome!

The crab cake was huge and super filling.
Loved the vibe of the place — perfect for a date night, a family dinner, or even a work meetup.

There’s a bar counter with TVs showing the game, which was a nice touch.
The staff were really friendly and helped recommend dishes based on what I liked.

If you’re in Lafayette, definitely give this place a try!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Let me begin with I’ve visited this restaurant franchise in Baton Rouge multiple times EXCELLENT service! I called the Lafayette location to get on the wait list for a party of 18 at 11:24am. I’d spoken to Olivia in which she was very kind and helpful! She explained to me they had TWO RESERVED parties a “12 top” and “20 top”.With that being said she said I’d have to wait 1hr to be seated. At 12:03 we notified the staff that the party was there and patiently waited for our table. The GENERAL manager AMBER rudely greeted us and stated they were not preparing a table for us and that they only had separate bar top seating. She stated that they don’t do reservations only waitlist. (remember I spoke with Olivia earlier who said they had two reservation already). I calmly asked what happen regarding my party already being on the waitlist and the hour wait and also explained my concerns with bar top being that it wasn’t handicap accessible. She stated “ people come in it is what it is either you take it or leave.” I myself have been a server for 6 years and never in a million years could I imagine treating a customer so rudely. Today I graduated college and wanted to celebrate a major accomplish and thanks to AMBER the general manager my day was almost ruined. Management is HORRIBLE specifically Amber the general manager and I can’t fathom how she is in a leadership role.

Outstanding seafood restaurant in Lafayette South. Sitting at the bar was excellent – great service, good conversation, super fresh food. I highly recommend charbroiled Argentinian shrimp as appetizer. My blackened fish with crab and shrimp topper was phenomenal, almost a scampi with the amount of butter served. Great prices on nightly drink specials. Oysters are always a must. Good restaurant gumbo. Can’t go wrong, although the side of grits were a throwaway after feasting on all the rest.

First place we stopped in Lafayette to get food and it did not disappoint. Food was delicious, especially the fried soft shell crab that came with the special. Oyster sampler is a must if you can’t decided which oysters to get, they all are great. Francé was a phenomenal server and recommended everything perfectly. Will be a go to spot every time I’m in town.

Staff is nice, very attentive. Atmosphere nice, had like 4 tables , as for the food it’s ok. Oyster I would rate 7/10 size was ok. It wasn’t jiggly big, mouth watering juicy, it was fair. Steaks, I had both the rib eye and surf and turf, I ordered medium rare, it came out medium well. Sauce on top was the flavor , the steak didn’t . The surf and turf was soft, easy to slice medium rare but tasted dry, flavor wasn’t there. Maybe because I’m a chef I’m more hard to please. Will give it another try.

First time eating here and it was THE BEST all around restaurant we have experienced in a long time. There is nothing to say except go here, spend your money, and savor the moment. This is old school quality and service. The drinks were delicious (we had the Bloody Mary and Balckberry Margarita). The charbroiled oysters, second to none! The food… absolutely delicious, every bite (we had the fried green tomatoes and crabcakes, the trout special, and the ribeye). WOW, WOW, WOW!! Do yourself a favor and experience this unicorn of a restaurant!
