The most delicious restaurant you’ll ever have. If you love oysters or are skeptical I recommend you come try this place out! My husband and I have never been a fan of oysters until coming here! We got the Rockefeller then the Cajun one. They’re sooooo mouth watering and delicious. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was amazing. But I think next time I could’ve eaten nothing but oysters (That’s how good they are). The sweet potato side of crème brûlée was perfection. I got a side of asparagus and it was tasty too. Definitely go, you will not be disappointed. Probably the best restaurant I’ve ever been to.

Quinn was such a wonderful waiter! I am very limited to what I can eat due to health issues, & have to stay away from most animal products! Quinn was kind & patient in helping me figure out something I could eat— to the extent of making a little bowl of veggies that the chef could throw on my pasta (so there would be no confusion)! And I could tell he knew a little something about food restrictions, as he was able to tell me about restricted items in ingredients before I even had to ask! Food was delicious for both the restricted & “normal” eaters! Atmosphere energy matched the service & food!

Our parents recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary, and we were looking for the perfect place to gather for a meal after their church blessing. Based on our previous visits to Half Shell, we knew it would be an excellent choice for hosting a large family get-together.
We contacted the restaurant to arrange an afternoon Gulf Coast–style meal, and for a party of our size, we worked closely with the manager, Cassie, to create a limited menu featuring Mom and Dad’s favorite dishes. Everything was thoughtfully planned and well organized.
When we arrived, the space was beautifully set up and ready for us. We were assigned a lead waitress, Ashley, along with waiter Donavon, and they were both outstanding. The Half Shell team truly exceeded our expectations! Custom menus were printed and placed at each setting, adding a special personal touch. Ashley and Donavon stayed one step ahead the entire time—keeping drinks filled, appetizers flowing, and meals served promptly.
The oysters were fresh and prepared in a variety of delicious ways, and the main courses were exceptional, from the seafood selections to the steak options.

Nice spot for any group, family or otherwise. Food was good for the most part; however, the fish was a little too salty for my liking or maybe it was the sauce that was on the fish and shrimp. Loved the pasta! Cocktails are good and everything else was great! Service was also great!

Very fine place to visit! Food and service was great! My waiter Thomas was accommodating and made sure to keep our drinks full! I enjoyed the Mahi Savannah with sweet potato creme brûlée with honey butter for my side! The blackberry margarita was amazing! I ordered two! Overall, I’d come back. We came for a girls dinner with a large group! If you have a large group, come early. We had to wait a little bit but it was worth the wait!

Man I will star by saying Hey Man Say Man I haven’t experienced food this good since my trip to Italy laste year. I can even begin to explain how good there food is its amazingly fresh. I could say it’s amazing it’s delicious it’s incredible and all that would be true. It is most definitely a one of a kind experience you will never forget my wife and I are from Dallas Tx a city with some of the most amazing food in the country but I have been really impressed with the food in Gulfport Ms. My wife and had lunch here we started with Shrimp Orleans followed by Crab and Shrimp dip and finished it off with the Shrimp and cheddar homemade Grits all in can tell you if you are in or near Gulfport Ms it is definitely a 10 out 10 and I must come back and try again. And I can’t forget I also had there amazing Red Beans and rice. The service was amazing the restaurant was very clean even the restrooms were clean and that’s always a plus. I waiter was Chip he was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was very attentive. He was overall the great waiter. I highly recommend asking for also he was very helpful and giving us information of the surrounding cities and things to do near Gulfport Mississippi, which we really appreciate it as first-timers in Gulfport our overall experience at the half shell was absolutely amazing. Please treat yourself. Don’t cheat yourself. Have your oyster house and go for Mississippi is off the chain.
