Good service and great food just like it’s always been. Got kind of too loud due to a party sat right in front of us. Would’ve been nice hard thr large party been in the back somewhere else but it is what it is.

Cool place. This is a place we both wanted to try for years and never had. Food was a disappointment.
I had shrimp & Grits with a side of onion rings. Shrimp were much too over-cooked. Sauce was good. Grits were gross! They were packy & texture was completely off. Yuck! Onion rings were also over-cooked.
My husband got fried oysters & they were much too heavily battered.
All that being said, we want to try it again. Anyone can have an off day.

Unexpected, but right on time!! Hadn’t been here in years but decided to give it a try. Went here after another restaurant left us waiting for over a hour & 1/2 on a late night search for dinner and it ended up being just what I needed! It wasn’t very crowded so the wait was minimal. Moderate noise level and a bit dark, but not in a bad way. The bar was open with available seating but we took a booth instead. The server was prompt, attentive, and helpful. Our drinks came out quick and were good. The food came in a reasonable time and MAN!!! Oysters were on point, wings were amazing, & the blackened chicken dish was good as well (maybe, minus the stuffing but I’ll chop that up to late night, closing time shenanigans). Overall, I can say it won’t be as long before I return next time. Those wings are calling my name!

((I will add for the sake of full transparency: there was a weird scent as you enter the establishment. Almost made me turn around and leave but maybe that’s just me….))

Oysters were great as always. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Drinks were nice. The food definitely has gone downhill. I ordered red beans and rice and was given what looked like chili…topped with chives and cheese . There was barely any rice. The sausage wasn’t cooked into the dish, it was placed on top. Definitely tasted like chili with sausage on top and not red beans and rice. Will not order that again.

Food was generally good. We went at brunch time on a Sunday. I had salmon benedict which was good. My husband had a full order of fried oysters and we shared a large Ceasar salad. The oysters were smaller than those at other restaurants with the price slightly higher than most. The seafood gumbo was excellent. My bloody mary was good and a better price tham most restaurants. They did charge us for the roll that we requested. I was surprised as bread is generally served with meals at other restaurants. We will probably go again if in the area but not sure if we would make the 40 min trip otherwise.

My wife and I love to come for a drink and some oysters, service can be kinda slow but honestly they’re so energetic when they get to the table you dont even really mind. The atmosphere is nice, classic beach dive bar. Id definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a affordable seafood place to sit down and grab a bite.

Quaint place that has a calm, non-overstimulating environment. When in town, I try to stop in for a meal. Seems a local fave as they’re always reasonably busy.

The food I’ve had on all occasions has been incredibly good & well prepared. Our fave is the oysters: raw, Rockefeller & Bieneville. The key lime pie is the star on the dessert menu & is house made. Soooo good!

Service is always professional & on point. The staff is well mannered & knowledge about the menu & drink menu, which can change seasonally, it seems.

I will miss the spinach but I will not be dining at this establishment again. Our office placed a take-out order as we routinely do, and for the first time we were charged an 18% fee on a TO-GO ORDER. This charge was never disclosed when the order was placed over the phone. Had we been informed in advance, we would have made a different decision. To make matters worse, the order was not ready at the promised time, causing additional inconvenience. The lack of transparency combined with poor service is extremely disappointing.

I hope the $32.64 collected from this undisclosed charge was worth the loss of future business, not just from me, but from all of the instructors in my office. Unfortunately, today’s experience has made this establishment a definite no-go moving forward.

The chargrilled oysters were delicious. The oyster Rockerfella and Bienville Oysters were the opposite of delicious. They tasted fishy and did not seem done at all. I usually get oysters from MoonDance grill or Porch and Parlor and I’ve never had cooked oysters so mushy. I also ordered a brownie which seemed stale so I couldn’t eat that either. The lady at the bar was really sweet and nice though.

The restaurant needs an interior update. There was a window at the entrance area that was boarded up. I almost decided to go somewhere else because of that, but I went inside anyway. I waited at least 5 mins after entering to be seated. Once seated my server appeared instantly. I ordered oyster Rockefeller with horseradish and lemons on the side, they were grilled perfectly. I had white wine to drink, only flaw is it wasn’t chilled.
