Half-Pint Ice Cream is located inside of The Annex Coffeeshop and Store, in Downtown Webster Groves. This place used to be a different ice cream store, but now it’s called Half-Pint, and is owned by the owners of The Annex along with The Frisco restaurant next door.
Theres plenty of seating options and the interior is modern and clean. The woman who checked me out was super friendly. I got the Gooey Butter Ice Cream, which was decent but not great. I thought it tasted a bit like cleaner or perfume, which was not pleasant.
There’s plenty of flavors and topping options, I wouldn’t write it off and would just try a different flavor next time.

Update to my previous 5-star review: We’ve been back several times, but during our most recent visit, something unexpected happened. I ordered a single scoop and was excited to see it placed in my cup. However, I watched as the server scooped some ice cream back out and returned it to the bucket. That’s when I noticed my cup was being weighed on a scale. The scoop that had initially looked generous shrank to about 3/4 of its size. Now, I understand why others have mentioned that the scoops feel small for the price. Our order—two single scoops and a double scoop chocolate-dipped waffle cone—came to $27.20. The ice cream is delicious, but I’ll be cutting back on my weekly visits, maybe to once a month. 4 stars.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Consistent quality & generous scoops! 5+ visits & Half-Pint remains a family fave, beating other local spots. Coffee lovers MUST try their house-pressed coffee flavor from the Annex! Son loves gooey buttercake & cookies & cream. Ignore the bad reviews, service has always been fast & friendly. One scoop is huge (see photo)!

Its a lovely shop with all the things. It has a candy/ice cream shop, it has coffee and food. I loved all the different foods and the atmosphere. The coffee is okay and the chocolate truffles taste low quality. Everything is outrageously priced but that’s to be expected with where its located. Definitely go to check it out but if you are expecting amazing coffee that’s different from other places, check somewhere else.

Half Pint is a stylish and fun addition to the strip with kind service and relaxing beautiful interiors. The quality of candy, shakes and more for the price could be better. $12 for a shake needs to be richer without all the flavors freezing and condensed at the bottom. The candy isn’t as diverse, rich or fresh as say Lolli and Pops but having an ice cream parlor back in Webster Groves is a solid addition.
Great location just prioritized style over substance a bit, a fault that could easily be improved.

If I could give no stars for everything I would. There was no one working in the ice cream shop. We waited for 15 minutes. We looked around the shop first, looked in other areas to find someone, etc. This was at 1:00 p.m. All the ice cream cartons in the case were so empty you could see the bottom of the cartons. The ice cream that was left wouldn’t have been fit to consume. It seemed obvious that the ice cream shop is low priority. We will not be going back.

Ice cream was delicious, the staff was super friendly to me (and my sweet but messy toddler, lol), and I love the interiors! Great addition to the Webster neighborhood and a nice spot to grab a sweet treat after dinner!

Came here once with ice cream and the next day came back! Very eye pleasing to see the candy in the big glass jars. Worker gave generous amount of ice cream scoop.

This is what a $6.01 scoop of ice cream looks like. Service was not even remotely friendly either.

The ice cream was good, but I thought the menu prices included the ice cream scoops. The total for one cone was $10, so I a little misled.
