Came here for a quick pitstop and ended up staying for a few hours! Loved the friendly staff and prompt service. We had the spin dip and GIANT pretzel, both of them were great! The “ALT” beer was my favorite. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Half Bushel has been open only a few months (since March) and has a cool atmosphere inside a historic downtown building. They have a good sized menu for food and a decent selection of beers.

An absolute delight, brand new microbrewery, lovely service from the maiden in charge Stephanie. Whose smile and bubbly personality attach to you like a clothing pin. Kelly, Jessica and Brennan are the other staff members; Beer tenders, co-owners, and beer geeks. Their centennial IPA is a crisp, well balanced brew. Not what you expect typically. The coffee stout is a toasty desert. And the black IPA is a crowning achievement. I highly recommend popping down for a wonderful conversation, a fantastic brew, and delicious food. To make things sweeter, the building is a historical landmark. Swing by Litchfields Half Bushel! You will be pleasantly surprised.

Overall, great place to grab a beer and have some pizza! Highly recommend. We’ve caught them early in their operations, but the Alt beer is particularly good and we enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Ranch pizza. I think they’re working on unifying the building sections they own for a single ambience, but it works pretty well! They’re working to strike a balance between a modern rustic while honoring past businesses.

Had the Strawberry Sour, the Blueberry Saison, and the tortilla chips. The guacamole was SO good! LOVED both the beers and the staff was fun and casual, but attentive! It’s extremely clean also. I don’t have a family, but clearly family friendly.

Great food, beverages and super friendly people in a down to Earth space with board games. We came on a day in which there was a Soup Festival and all of the soups were great! Legit pizza as well. Looking forward to being back

Friendly, owners in house & brews were satisfying. Good little find that will bring us back! This time we had the brown and the Alt is all had we not been driving through would have tried others as we were happy with those. We will be back and certainly next time try food as well! The menu and the food that went by us to other tables looked delicious!

I absolutely love everything about the half bushel! The owners are so nice and very friendly. Steph the bartender is very friendly and is very personable. The beers there are absolutely amazing. My favorite beers are the blond ale, cream ale and the blueberry saison. The food is to die for. I have had quite a bit of food off the menu and have loved all of it. So glad that there is a place like this in litchfield!

This spot is a gem. We are not from the immediate area. In town for a high school hockey game, and popped in for a beer and pizza. Owners are friendly, and delightful. LOVED the Black IPA. We had the hot honey pepperoni pizza, and a a special pizza (Pig on Vacay), and both were great! We end up in Litchfield on occasion for our kids’ sports, and this will be our first stop from now on.

Beings it was our first time here I was amazed at the atmosphere and the staff . We had the pretzel and artichoke dip appetizers . Both were delicious . The beer selection was good as well. Definitely will be back.
