Husband ordered the chicken fried steak and it had a lot of batter (to his preference) and also tasted a little sweet (maybe because of the oats?)
I ordered the pork chops and eggs (2 chops). Bone-in pork chops which was lightly salted and just a little moist. I personally like to dip pork chops in hollandaise sauce but they did not offer that here. Our server did mention a house sauce that is cheese based but I opted out.
We will probably come back to try the pancakes.
The orange juice, however, could use a little improvement — it tasted a bit less fresh than expected. Not a deal-breaker, but noticeable.
Overall, Hale’s is a great spot to start your morning with a dependable, tasty meal. I’ll definitely be back!
Highly recommend
Jackie was a great waitress! Super fast, friendly and got my food to me super quick! Give her a raise Hale’s 🙂 🙂 🙂
(and no, she didn’t tell me to write this)
Came over while my car was being serviced next door… glad I did! 🙂

It had been a while since we last visited, and it just so happened to be the Weekend Special day, so I didn’t hesitate to order the Steak & Lobster Weekends. The lobster was plump, and the baked potatoes were large—overall, We were thoroughly satisfied. We also had the Fruit Belgian Waffle again because we enjoyed it so much the last time. ✨

We had the Spanish Omelette ($16.95) with added pepper jack cheese, bacon, and mushrooms ($2.50 each), a lunch special ($13.95), two coffees ($7.50), and a Crème Brûlée Cheesecake ($8.95). The Spanish Omelette had more sauce than I expected, making the flavor a bit too strong for my taste and different from what I had imagined.

We ordered the Full French Toast ($12.95), Hot Beef Dinner Sandwich ($14.95), and coffee. The French Toast was made with thick, soft bread, slightly yellow like brioche, and it was so delicious I finished all five slices without hesitation. The Hot Beef Sandwich was quite different from what I expected, with a generous amount of demi-glace sauce poured over the top. However, the sauce had a gentle flavor that blended perfectly with the dish, making it very enjoyable.

In the morning, the snow kept things from getting too busy, so we were able to enjoy a leisurely Valentine’s Day lunch in the afternoon. It happened to be a special menu day (held three days a month), and there was also a Valentine’s special cocktail, so we tried that too.

This place has great choices. I always pick 2 and then ask staff what I should pick. The corned beef hash was delicious and familiar. The omelet was fluffy and chucked full of the good stuff.
