The service was good and they had plenty of options and nothing looked empty, which I appreciated. But the prices felt high for the portion size, and the food itself was pretty bland. The sauces were watered down, and the jerk chicken had no spice at all (and I’m someone who usually finds Sriracha spicy). Overall, a bit disappointing for the cost.

Halal Mix on Hillside Avenue in Queens just across the Nassau/Queens border is amazing. Restaurant is super clean, seating is ample and comfortable and the customer service is consistently top notch and impeccable. We have been here multiple times and cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. The chicken quesadillas are freshly made right in front of you and are always super fresh and delicious. The burritos and Philly Steak and Cheese also fresh and delicious. The chicken and rice bowls also equally fresh and delicious. If you have not yet tried Halal Mix, I recommend you try it as soon as possible. Super highly recommended!

As a frequent customer, Halal Mix is one of my top to go places. The food is always excellent and reasonably priced, I love the customization style of the menu and the staff is very kind and helpful. I always try to recommend my friends and family to eat here. If I could make one change, I would suggest they expand their menu to include new and different options, they should include different and new items and try limited-time deals which brings a new twist to the menu. Always love to come here!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Terrible Experience — Never Ordering Again
The worst casual fast food experience I’ve ever had. This was my first (and last) time ordering from Halal Mix through Uber Eats. There was a “buy one get one free” offer, and I wanted to try two different platters — one Jerk Chicken and one Ground Beef. Since Uber Eats didn’t allow customization or notes, I called the restaurant directly. They said if I wanted Ground Beef, it would cost an extra $2 — which was fine by me.
When I went to pick it up, they suddenly charged me $3.27, but I still agreed just to get it done. When I finally got home and opened the food, I was shocked — no white sauce, no hot sauce, nothing. The food was completely dry, flavorless, and honestly tasted weird. The portion size was also much smaller than what you get from other halal places.
If you’ve ever had Halal Munchies, you’ll instantly notice the difference. Their taste, portion, and deals on Uber are way better — it’s not even close. Halal Munchies knows what good food and customer service mean, unlike this place.
Avoid Halal Mix — total waste of money. Go to Halal Munchies instead.

Halal Mex Halal & Mexican Grill ordered Chicken Over Rice Platter and Shamarma Bread Pocket Pita with Lamb white sauce. Freshly packed sauce is good. Pita bread has good texture as well as the Lamb right amount of rice and lettuce.

Finally managed to get myself some halal Mexican food in NY.
Happened to park out here while getting Texas Chicken for the kids and noticed the Burrito bowl signage on the window.
I was parked a little close to a hydrant so the wife went in to pick up the food. The offer outside was for a 24oz bowl which they advised was probably on the small side so she picked me up a large bowl for approx $17 with chicken, steak and lamb.
Portion was very good, easily enough for two. The chicken and steak meat were nicely cooked and flavoured. The lamb was exactly the same as you get from the gyro carts outside and every other halal place in NY.
Sauces were decent but nothing exceptional. Had I walked in myself I probably would have ordered the Birria Tacos.
I enjoyed the meal but couldn’t help but feel it wasn’t too different to the chicken/lamb on rice you get from the gyro carts just outside, if only a more upmarket version.
I’m not too clued up on Mexican food but expected something slightly different to what my taste buds were used to. Didn’t get this here. I was probably expecting more beans with the rice and a dollop of avocado sauce or something but it just tasted a little too familiar to my Pakistani taste buds.

Just ordered from here, the portions suck. The server took my order and was rude rolling his eyes from the start. He was very passive aggressive rushing me to order. He first gave me one small thin layer of rice, I noticed the rice also seemed old and oily. I told him they look old and he lied saying they were fresh when his coworker came and said the rice had already turned. Instead of telling me to wait for a new batch he simply served me the old one. The also ran out of fresh black beans. Wouldn’t recommend coming here and it was still 23.00 for two burrito bowls with old thin layer of rice. What disturbed me the most was the workers attitude and how ignorant he was being.

First I visited the restaurant when I was on my way to Texas then I saw this this place and there were a lot of food options then I ask for the recommendation and they told me that the burrito ball is really good because I can put anything in it or you can say that it is more like a custom ball, then I take there there recommended food and it was really good and it is more healthy so I gave it 10/10 specialty with there white and chipotle sauces so I recommend you guys this place for healthy and value for money food.
