Great little independent Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurant on the side of a gas station. Food is really good, but a little pricey. I’ve had their chicken wrap, beef shawarma, and chicken mendi, and all were tasty.
Nowhere to sit, so it’ll have to be to go, and waiting area is just the outside of a gas station. But it’s worth a visit!

I recently stopped by Halal King and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Given that it’s a take-out spot, the setting is pretty basic. It’s clean and well-organized, making it easy to navigate. It’s not a place to linger, but perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal. I tried their Grilled chicken with rice and side of salad, and it exceeded my expectations. The ingredients were fresh, and the portion size was generous. The flavors were well-balanced, and it felt like a homemade meal. The staff was friendly and efficient, taking my order quickly and ensuring that everything was prepared just the way I wanted. The wait time was minimal. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. You definitely get a good bang for your buck here.

The best mendi / mandi chicken in the Bay Area. Their tea is also delicious, slightly spiced without being overwhelmed. Make sure you order that. The employees are friendly and nice. I’m from South Bay and will drive all the way here to get my mandi fix.

Came to Halal King—right next to KKC—just to drop off some clothing recycle in the bin. But I stopped for a falafel wrap, too. While I wait, he gave me a black tea for free and it’s hella good. AND THIS falafel is as long as my forearm!

This restaurant is under new management and a new chef! They are serving authentic, delicious Yemeni dishes and plates in addition to the previous menu of sandwiches. Oh man, I had one of the chicken plates and it was served with flat bread that he toasted up for me and a free side salad! The chicken was falling off the bone, the sauce is so rich and flavorful, and I love the spicy green sauce that it comes with on the side. The salad was bright, refreshing, and perfect accompaniment to the chicken plate. Please support this amazing spot and support Yemeni cuisine!!

New go-to lunch spot !!!!!!!!! Just had the Lamb Kebab Plate and the Chicken Wrap so good. The lamb was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the wrap was packed and crispy on the outside. Everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. The service was quick too, which I really appreciate on a lunch break. Can’t wait to try more from the menu
