Absolute hidden gem! We had an incredible dinner at Hala Hunan Village falls church tonight. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. The buffet menu was an absolute standout—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The manager was attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance is cozy yet upscale, making it great for a family night. Will definitely be returning soon!” Great food with great price

Just had lunch at Halal Hunan Village with family! A bold mix of Middle Eastern, Indian & Chinese flavors. The pepper beef stole the show—smoky, tender, and packed with peppery heat.
The space could use a brighter refresh (still feels like the old spot), but it’s roomy and family-friendly.
Best part? You can enjoy your meal without worrying about missing salah.

Excellent food . Waiters and staff are super sweet and the atmosphere was pleasant. There are plenty of buffet options no matter if you are vegetarian or Meat lover. There are something here for you.

They have prayer room as well, which I don’t have to worry when it’s time to pray.

A wonderful experience for our family of five! We had the buffet (4 adults and one 5yo) for $138—absolutely no regrets given the quality. They offer a fantastic variety of fresh Pakistani, Chinese, and Middle Eastern halal dishes. The restaurant is spotless and comfortable, but the prayer room was the ultimate bonus. As a Mu’min, it was such a relief to enjoy a meal without worrying about missing Salah. Truly a thoughtful, top-tier establishment!”

Please don’t expect authentic Chinese food. This is an Indo-Chinese fusion restaurant. The buffet has a lots of options. That means a few items would not be great but a few will taste amazing. I would recommend this restaurant. It’s great value for money.

Extremely disappointed with our experience. The customer service was unprofessional, and the soda they serve is very low quality from off-brand products. The food was also bland and lacked any original or authentic taste. Overall, it was not worth the visit, and we will not be returning. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Tried their buffet during Ramadan. As expected, it was crowded but the staff was accommodating and helped us with the table after waiting some time. Variety of dishes, and food was good. Though they were refilling the buffet trays, but I didn’t get to try couple of dishes as they were out and not refilled. I might go again to try their menu dishes.

One of the best buffet spots in town! Both Pakistani and Chinese food options were great. I went there primarily to try samosa+channay (chickpeas) combo which did not disappoint. The meat options were authentic in taste too. Rating this a five star cuz having this much food variety and quality is a STEAL for the price! Definitely bringing my family and friends here again!

These people need to work on their customer service skills. They don’t know how to treat their customers during peak Ramadan hours and they definitely do favoritism. We went there multiple times with our family but this will be our last time going there unfortunately. We called for a reservation but no one answered so my wife and I walked in but they said only reservations yet the people behind us were a group of 3 also with no reservations and were given a table. We asked if we can put our name down for even later like an hour but the guy just dismissed us. It looks like they may be picking and choosing who they want to service.

My family and I have been coming to Hunan Village for years, it was our favorite family buffet spot especially during Ramadan. Whenever we had family visiting from abroad, we’d bring them to Hunan to really have a good dinner – this goes to show how much my family trusted this place’s quality and cleanliness. We had good experiences for the last few years with the wide variety of food, friendly staff, and reasonably clean/maintained facilities worthy of around 4.5 stars.

That unfortunately changed after my family’s visit on 1/1/2026. We had family from abroad and brought them to Hunan for a nice warm halal dinner after a long day of touring DC in the winter cold.

Upon walking up to the seating area, we were met with a dirty/uncleaned table. The space was clearly neglected compared to our previous visits in 2025. The bathroom was nasty, which is surprising because I’ve never seen a dirty bathroom at this place. The atmosphere and service (maintaining cleanliness) was disappointing at best. The food variety was significantly less than usual, and the quality was subpar. The flavor was off, and it was clearly not fresh.

To make things worse, my brother is currently puking his guts out from food poisoning which clearly is from the questionable dinner at Hunan. I’m worried about the health of my guests from abroad as they’re currently traveling with a hectic schedule. I trusted this place for years, but all it takes is one bad day to break that trust. Unfortunately that day was 1/1/2026.

I am completely turned off by this experience and it will probably be the last time my family goes to this place. Its not a good idea to bringing travellers here because of the risk of them leaving with an unexpected gift of food poisoning.

This place used to be good, my work/office even caters lunches from here for the whole company every now and then. I can’t recommend anymore.

What happened to the Hunan I used to like going to? A change of ownership? Maybe I went at a bad time about 6 weeks before Ramadan? Maybe it was because it was new years and the staff didn’t want to be there?
