You must try them at least once in your life.
So so good.
We also had the spicy chicken burgers.. They’re perfectly seasoned and prepared.
Food was ok, surprisingly Jalapeño were raw,, uncooked i believe Onions tomatoes lettuce these are topping…and can be raw…but Jalapeño…not sure what is this concept.
Customer service was ok.
Neatly organized seating area
The person who answered refused to cancel the order and claimed that Uber picked up the order at 1:20 to deliver to us. It’s important to note we ordered through the Halal Buns website – NOT UBER. Also, we did not receive any status messages stating the order was picked up at 1:20. The person from Halal Buns said they would remake the order if we came to pick it up, so we headed over there to do so.
When we arrived at Halal Buns at 3:20, we received a message stating the order was picked up and on its way. After we picked up the order from Halal Buns, we received a message stating that the order was canceled. Someone pocketed the delivery fee and tip (for a delivery service that was not completed) because we were still charged the full amount despite having to pick up the order. Halal Buns should have at the very least refunded the delivery fee and tip that we left when ordering (tip was left on the basis of DELIVERY – not having to DRIVE OVER and pick up the order).
In conclusion, DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THE HALAL BUNS WEBSITE. There is either something scammy going on or their delivery arrangement is clearly not working smoothly. My concern is Halal Buns made delivery an option through their website. The fact that they outsource that delivery service to Uber, and Uber messed up is not my problem. I was interacting with Halal Buns, so it’s up to Halal Buns to make it right. See photos for receipts of everything that has been stated.
New Halal Burger and Wing place that just opened up, located next to CCSU. The place is slightly hidden away on the ground floor in the back of the building. In front of the building, you’ll see Dunkin Donuts, Domino’s, and Subway.
There are enough free parking spots.
There are a few tables for the dine in option.
You can place the order via the kiosk or at the counter.
The prices are slightly high but expected due to it being a smashburger place and not a frozen patty.
Now, coming to the food, I had ordered the Fuego Burger, Buffalo Wings, Fries, and Salaam Soda.
The Fuego burger was very good, lots of flavor, and more importantly, it tasted fresh.
Wings and Fries were good as well, fried to correct temperature and time.
Revisited on 06/15/2025 with family.
Good to see the quality of the food is retained.
They’re adding a party area which can probably seat additional about 30 to 50 people. Lounge area is looking good.
I am looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu in the near future.
