Food is very good quality but service was just OK at best. This place could do so much more business if they pay more attention to their customers and possibly have better decoration. It is just not a place you want to sit an chat. Eat and leave.

I wish the amount of rice on the nigiri were little lighter. Amount of rice on the nigiri is killing the taste of sushi. Also, i wish it has more taste from the rice will be whole lot better! It seems they use very light rice vinegar on the rice. Also if you order a sweet shrimp(amebi) sushi, they do not offer the fried shrimp head. Not sure only for the night we were there but didn’t get one. Other than that, price is very reasonable and the quality is good. Wasabi taste very fresh. They also have kizami wasabi as well(its extra $2). I think they use frozen but still taste good without raw smell or raw taste! Hand rolls were good and its pretty big. I’ll definitely coming to this place again! Thank you Chef!

First time at this restaurant. Ambiance was great for date night or late evening dinner. We were immediately greeted and seated upon walking through the door. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable with all of our questions on the menu. We ordered a sushi appetizer which came promptly and was delicious. Our main course hibachi plates came out fresh in an iron skillet still sizzling with a side bowl of rice. Everything was flavorful and portion size was more than enough for our money’s worth. Will definitely be back. We had a great experience.

Had a later (8pm) dinner for two and it was fantastic! Not only was the food delicious, fresh, and made to order but the staff were kind and attentive without being overbearing! The chicken/steak hibachi skillet was fantastic and the salmon roll was especially delicious. Excited to return for lunch soon!

Cozy and intimate atmosphere with phenomenal sushi at reasonable rates! They offer a vast selection of speciality rolls that you don’t see at the other sushi restaurants in the area. Everything was fresh and delicious! The service was fast and friendly.

Good place to get sushi. I had the tuna and salmon sashimi and a seaweed salad. All was good. I sat at the sushi bar and the service was OK. It was friday night so they were a little busy.

Sushi was good, but service was terrible. Waitress didn’t give order for over and hour and we had to ask her to give it. She never checked on us at all. Both waitress and host said “it’s normal for Sunday”, but how are guests supposed to know. True lack of hospitality and care. They prioritized take out only.

We have always loved Hako for sushi and have been going for years! It has the best sushi and friendly service. Sushi gets a 5 star. However For some reason they are not opening their restaurant up for dining post covid. Sushi is just not the same eating for take out as it is at the bar. Many fried rolls are not good once put in a Styrofoam container. Limiting their business to only take out has definitely deterred us from going. We hope they will reopen dining in the future.

People really talk about other places because they are bigger or “they have bogo!” but people should realize if it’s airways bogo it isn’t a special or a deal. Hako is run by actual Japanese people and they are true sushi chefs. The food is excellent. The setting is intimate. They make some amazing sushi dishes. Everything is spectacular. If a fish isn’t in season they don’t sell it. The fish is extremely fresh. It has been my go to place for years and that isn’t going to change anytime soon.
