If you are craving Tonkatsu. This is the place you must try. Finally had the chance to write this review. Been here a couple of times now. We came on a lunch time when my son just finished his dentist appointment. I’m pretty sure he was hungry. Since it was lunch time, it was very easy to find parking and there was no wait. SCORE. The seating is very nice and spacious. It’s unique. From the front server, our server, and to the back everyone was very nice and seated us right away. I ordered a calpico for my son. He threw up because we just came from the dentist lol. It was so nice that all the servers came to our aid and to our son. We will never forget it. They checked on us so many times and keep checking on our toddler too. They even clean up the mess before our meal arrived. They even asked us if we wanted to replace our Miso Soup since it was a little warm. I’m grateful for the staff.

We’ve come to this place several times already, it’s the best katsu place! Great cooking on the meat, juicy and tender, also great portion, I normally cannot finish it and will take the rest home. I’ve tried pork, chicken and fish, all very good 🙂 we also tried their agedashi tofu today surprisingly good too!

Not too expensive, and yummy! The katsu is really crunchy and it isnt dry on the inside! The cheese katsu was also very well made melted cheese with a chicken layer inside! Everything was delicious. Will come back

I go here often and I love their chicken katsu. I like the breading and the look and quality of the chicken. I don’t feel terrible eating this fried dish which is a relief after eating fried food. A lot of people do get take out from here, too!

Me and my friends go here frequently, and we usually get the chicken katsu. I’ve also tried the agedashi tofu, tonkatsu, spicy tuna rolls, chicken udon, fish katsu, and karaage. All the food is very good, the katsu is super crispy and fresh, and it comes with shredded cabbage salad, rice, and miso soup all for $15 (which I think is a good deal). It’s all together on a tray, and is just a nice lunch to have. I really like their agedashi, it’s super crispy and the dashi sauce perfectly complements it. The fish katsu is also amazing, I like it with the side of curry. The karaage is not my favorite item they have, but it isn’t bad.

Decided to try Hako on a whim and very glad we did. We got there around 30 minutes after it opened and it was already pretty full (we were able to get a table right away) but if that’s any indicator it definitely gets busy.
