I can not say enough good about this place. Everything is high quality and absolutely delicious! Up until recently, I have only had take-out but I was out and about for my birthday on Friday so I decided to stop in for a birthday lunch. What a great experience! The woman who waited on me was so amazing. She was so kind and friendly. She even gave me a lesson on using the Wasabi and ginger properly which was fun and very appreciated. She even surprised me with a treat once she heard it was my birthday. ❤️ The food was absolutely delicious like always. I loved getting to see it presented instead of in a takeout container too; it was beautiful. Definitely check this place out and dine in. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a great addition to the experience of the food. Thank you so much for the best birthday lunch!

HAKO is without a doubt the best place in the Cleveland-area for sushi and more. I frequently search for great places to eat and when it comes to their cuisine, I have yet to find another that compares. It’s clear that they care about quality and pay attention to detail because the food is delicious and the customer service is excellent and very accommodating. Whether you are on the east, west, or south side of the city, eating here is absolutely worth the trip.

This is some of the best sushi you’re going to get in CLE+. Try to eat in if you can because the freshness of those first few minutes on the plate can’t be beat. (I’ve never had take-out sushi from anywhere that measured up to the flavor of dine in.) The restaurant is always clean and the space feels open and fresh despite being very modest in size. The staff I’ve interacted with have always been wonderful, I can’t say enough good things. I’ve been to some of the fancy sushi places in town but the rolls are twice the price and half as good. Give Hako a try, you wont be disappointed.

Horrible service. They forgot some food. And after many many calls, they still haven’t refunded us. The portions are very small, and the food was ok. We did get takeout so maybe that’s why the portions are so small. The worst part is my sister didn’t eat because they forgot her food. We did eat the food in the car right after picking it up, so the food should taste the same. Just avoid this place, down the street there are many other Asian, Italian, and American food places that are worth going to. A lot of reviews seem positive, but considering the lack of reviews compared to other sushi restaurants, and the fact that the place never seems busy, shows people are already steering clear. And like always, some people are going to like the place. But many local steer clear.

I was very excited to check out this sushi spot since I had read about it in a recent “new” restaurant review. I was very let down. I’ve done sushi in Japan, all over the US, Canada, and the Caribbean, I know good sushi. Maybe I had too much of an expectation, because this was just basic sushi.
