I chose the sushi deluxe, and I guess it’s similar to an omakase style. They told me it would be 9 pieces with one roll, and honestly, all the selections were great. The fish was very fresh and high quality. I was also really impressed by their service.

My friend and I were deep in conversation and lost track of time, but they never rushed us to leave. I will definitely be coming back and will make a reservation next time (we were lucky to get seats with no wait just by walking in)!

I am a famously fussy eater and vegetarian, so most of the time if my loved ones are getting sushi I either don’t eat at the restaurant or get a small side dish that I can have. At Hajime they had so many options that I could choose from I was very surprised.
I really wanted the fried noodles but it came with chicken and vegetables, but our very friendly waiter said without the chicken was really no problem. I also let him know that I can’t have any spice and he reassured me when I ordered and again when it arrived that there was no spice and he even waited for me to take a mouthful of a food to ensure it was okay for me. I’ve never felt so cared about in a restaurant before and I was so grateful to him for caring about a seemingly fussy girl.

We genuinely had the best time here for my fiancés birthday, and after our entrees they brought us a huge plate of different sorbets with a candle in. We had no idea they were doing this and it was such a thoughtful touch.
I very much got the vibe of a family business that has been around a while, quietly serving the most delicious food. Truly a hidden gem! We have agreed that we will go out of our way to travel the half an hour it takes to get here just for this place. The atmosphere and hospitality is unmatched. Thank you so much!

A very average sushi restaurant, with high prices. I heard a lot of good reviews on Reddit saying this was one of the best in Westchester. Spent $150 for 2, waited over 35 minutes for our sushi and honestly — didn’t enjoy it at all. I understand it was a busy night and they did comp us some miso soups and ice cream for the long wait. Fish was firm and flavorless. Would not return. Ranks near the bottom of my list in westchester.

Without a doubt the best sushi you can get in the area. It is pricier than others but you’re paying for quality and we feel it’s worth it. The service is friendly and efficient. Parking can be on the street in front or the lot in back.

The hajime special is always excellent, especially the tuna roll it comes with. The chirashi bowl comes with a good variety of fish and the tomago is a nice touch. And the rolls we’ve ordered have been great and filling

The best in Westchester. This is an authentic, Japanese style, sushi restaurant. It’s not about fancy creations. It’s about the fish. Always the freshest, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and Sam, the sushi chef and owner is friendly and attentive. Not cheap, but worth every penny!

I’ve been looking for a good sushi spot since I moved out of the city, and this place is it. Amazing quality fish, super quick and attentive service, and very comforting vibes. The Hajime special is an incredible deal, and the green tea is *chefs kiss.* It’s right by the Harrison train station so it’s super convenient despite me living 3 towns away. Will definitely be making this a regular visit. Love love love, highly recommend!

Edit: i have indeed become a regular here lol. It’s my happy place

Stopped in for a quick bite and realized this is probably one of the most Japanese Sushi resturants in the area. The fish is fresh, and the sushi was simple and delicious. This spot mimics the type of sushi you get in Japan more than most American sushi resturants and we really appreciated it. Fantastic service as well!

Haven’t been in this restaurant for quite some times, the quality has not changed, still very good. Service is quick and good. But can see the portion was smaller.
