I stumbled upon the place and I’m so happy I did. As a west African I’ve been looking for authentic West African food, specifically Nigerian and this did not disappoint. I got jollof rice, suya chicken, plantain and salad. I am picky with jollof but this was very good. Just the right amount of spice/peppa and smokiness. My daughter who is toddler devoured it. I’ve had suya before but this is my first time trying suya chicken! I’m hooked! Kudos to the chef! I will be back! Please get on doordash!

I’ve tried to support this local business several times, but unfortunately, each experience has been disappointing. I really value supporting small businesses, but it becomes difficult when the service consistently falls short. This time, my fiancé and I decided to give them one final chance and placed an order through DoorDash. We ordered right when they opened, but a few minutes later we received a call informing us they were out of beef and could only provide chicken for the wrap. Oddly, the person on the phone said the wrap was already prepared but if that were the case, why did it take another 40 minutes for the food to be ready? The delivery driver ended up waiting far too long, which wasn’t fair to them either. When our order finally arrived, it was extremely underwhelming. The wrap was drenched in sauce and contained maybe five small pieces of chicken….definitely not worth the $22 price tag on DoorDash. On top of that, the portion of fries was very skimpy. Sadly, this was the final straw. After multiple failed attempts, we won’t be ordering from here again. I really wanted to love this place, but it just isn’t worth the frustration or the cost.

I had an amazing experience at Hajara Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and inviting. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my entire meal.

The food was absolutely delicious! The pepper soup was fresh, hot, flavorful, and was seasoned perfectly. The puff puff was exquisite too! You can really taste the authenticity and quality in every bite. The environment was clean, and the overall vibe made it a place I can’t wait to return to. Highly recommend!

Food was beyond my expectation. It was nice to have a good authentic meal with good spices. All the food seemed like it was made fresh in the kitchen with love. The person at the front was nice and welcoming. Casual dining with a good atmosphere. I got the fried rice with chicken and plaintains, very generous serving size… also a side of samosas (with spiced minced beef). My husband got the chicken schwarma with fries.

If you’re reading this and wanna eat here, please read all of this. Safe to say, this was extremely disappointing. This place is WAY too expensive to be THIS bad. We ordered Jollof rice and a medium cheese pizza. The rice was burnt, the plantains were so obviously old and the goat was extremely tuff. The pizza was mediocre at best… The crust was dry and the cheese was somehow…Also dry! Nearly $100 for that. Now time for the extremely unprofessional service. When we wanted to talk to the manager to discuss the price, the whole time she was fussing and talking over us. We had made an agreement for us to pay half… well not even an agreement! They told us to leave, then came out to tell us we have to pay anyway. To the point they called the police . The only reason why we ate half of our plates was simply because we were fasting for Ramadan and were starving. This was UN.PRO.FESSIONAL. If this WAS a professional establishment, then when we complained they would have apologized, gave us a discount and it would be done with. If you read through this entire review 1, thank you, 2, save your money.

I ordered the acheke and unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it. The garri and stew were both too salty, and the goat meat was mostly fat with hardly any actual meat. The meat was also cold while the stew was hot, and the plantains were soggy. Overall, it just wasn’t a good experience

Everything is inconsistent…taste, price, and portion. Sunday pricing and portion was half the size of when I came before. $8 for a quarter of chicken (bones no meat!) and $8 for jollof, handed to me with an attitude. Not to mention the piece of hair I found. Never again will I waste my money.

Food Quality: Food was delicious!!! We ordered Jollof rice with chicken plantain and salad, Meat pie and Hibiscus juice. Everything tasted fresh and tasty!

Service: They are genuinely very nice and polite. We wanted to pay first but they said, “no, please eat properly, take your time, then pay before you leave, no rush, enjoy the food first!”

I would highly recommend this place.
