Such a great addition to the area. The pizza was excellent with a great variety and some really unique flavors. We didn’t try the burgers but they looked awesome, and in addition to the beer they had a full bar. The service was top notch and the location and decor was really welcoming. Their pizza oven is absolutely amazing! We cannot wait to go back.

Went by twice this past week after they’ve been open and so far they’re doing a great job. Had a fig jam and goat cheese burger (they’re smash burgers) and it was good. It’s not sweet. If you’ve had jam/ cheese before this is a savory burger. This recent time I had a Gyro Pizza and that was nice. Irish Coffee for a cocktail and that’s about it. Staff was nice and the vibe is great. Kids friendly and from what I heard they’ll be adding on a patio in the future. Glad to have yall in box elder

Delicious food! Unique pizza options! Great staff and atmosphere! Been here three times in the first two weeks of opening! We brought our new born and in the restroom there is a large table infront of a mirror , perfect for diaper change!
Large parking lot area.

A little pricey, but the food was good and the service was top-notch. Some of my coworkers thought it was too spicy, but I thought that it had the right amount of spice.

Bacon Jam burger was sizzling hot, perfect sear. Condiments on point, delicious and not excessive to the point of being sloppy. Fries were hot, crispy and properly seasoned. Paired well the Turtle Tree Cream Ale.
Service was outstanding from the greetings, table service and departure.
Can’t wait till the outside backyard area is finished.
Top quality all around!
Well done HCB-SD team!

Service was not great. One person ordered a soda and 3 ordered drinks. The drinks were brought and the soda still wasn’t. We had to ask for the soda a second time. Ordered 2 pizzas and 1 burger. Had to ask for plates because none were brought with the pizza. No not everyone ordered their own pizza they were being shared. The only thing that came fast was the check, they were not that busy. I understand going out is expensive. But I had the hamburger. On the menu it says your choice of side or salad. Nothing about being charged extra for salad. My hamburger ended up costing me almost $20 and it was just a bacon cheeseburger and a salad. It was more then the pizza. Drinks were very expensive. I don’t remember seeing prices on the drink menu. All in all 3 drinks 1 soda 2 small pizza and a hamburger coast us $100. The food was good but nothing outstanding very greasy. I don’t mind spending money on food that’s why we go out. But to be surprised by prices is not ok.

If you ever find yourself in Box Elder, SD then you’ve got to stop by the ol’ Hairy Cow Brewery. We’ve stopped in twice and I’m convinced they’re firing those pizzas with decommissioned B-1 jet engines. There is no other explanation for how they achieve that perfectly blistered crust at what feels like Mach 2…

Also, since I’m not really a fermented front”beers”man anymore, I sipped on the hairy berry mule. The perfect amount of ginger in that bad boy to keep the tastebuds alive.

Oh and if you’re visiting from (kinda) nearby Wisconsin, give the old cheese curds a gander. Might give ya a run for your money! All that to say, it’s pretty good, staff has been friendly both times we have eaten there, and it’s a great addition to the town!

This is a new business in Box Elder, SD. Every staff member is friendly. The atmosphere is laid-back and easy going. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The manager visited us. If you want to try something new take a trip from Rapid City and enjoy yourself.

Stopped in for lunch on Saturday and the place was packed, but we were still seated pretty quickly. We ordered the cheese curds and the jalapeño popper burger, and both were excellent. Even with a full house, the food came out fast, which was impressive. The wait staff was attentive and friendly throughout the visit. It was hard to believe it was only their second day open. We’ll definitely be back soon.
