The food here was delicious! We got the chicken fried rice and it was so good! Also the cream puff skewers were to die for! The drinks were really good too. Our server Christian was awesome and such a nice guy. We will definitely be coming back here! Thanks for the great food and service!

Service is exceptional! Shout-out to Anya.
The beers are massive and everything is well-priced.
My only issue is I got 8 skewers and wouldn’t recommend any of them. They’re bland, despite being well-cooked and crisp.
Also, the sesame salad was interesting! The dressing is a thick, savory mayo. I think it’s worth trying, but don’t expect any sweetness.

Ultimately, I’d go back because of friendly, chill vibes and good prices. I would recommend the kimchi rice or the fried rice which was popular with everyone at the table.

Had a wonderful experience and meal at Haifry this evening. We were greeted as soon as we walked into the beautiful space. Our server and server-in-training were so nice and accommodating, and didn’t blink an eye when we asked if they could make the kimchi fried rice gluten-free for my husband. I had the Modanyaki with added tofu. Both dishes were wonderful and decadent in the best way. My only regret is that I should have ordered a fun beverage off the menu; we just got water. Next time we plan to partake in their drinks and desserts, too. Our total bill came to $31 not including tip. Don’t expect leftovers but do expect to leave full and happy! Can’t wait to go back!

Authentic Japanese Cuisine, affordable and great service. From the food models on the window, to the decor & the bidet.
Haifry brings an authentic Japanese experience to Louisville.
The Katsu Curry is the dish to try alongside the (Creampuff) Kushikatsu.
And the Bento Box is a great choice for the indecisive person in all of us 🙂

I tried the tonkatsu bento box & the omakase kushikatsu (skewers). Everything was pretty average & bland. I didn’t really enjoy their sauces. The breading on the katsu was falling off of it. The aji skewer was the best one

HaiFry is new in town, and this was my first visit. The food was hot, and delicious. The service was ok. The decor is minimal. The yakisoba was really good. Next time I plan on trying the curry.

You can feel Japan as soon as you walk in. When you see all the decorations you can tell someone put their heart into designing this place. I loved the posters around the walls and the use of Japanese exit signs. The Japanese pop music fit the vibe well too.

The food was fantastic! I had the katsu curry and the flavor was so good, you could tell it was made from scratch. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

A great addition to the Highlands, Osaka style Japanese! The otsumami (appetizers) were fresh and light — got the asparagus, cabbage, and kimchi. Got the Osaka okonomiyaki (savory pancake) with egg and green onion, and the katsu curry. Wow! Loved them both. I love my curry salty so I added a little extra. Finished with fried cream puff. Also a great assortment of drinks, had Bushido beer (high abv) and the calpis chuhai.
