One of my favorite food spots in Ann Arbor. Seriously, I love this place, fwiw. The sandwiches are packed, quite saucy, never dry and always delicious. Additionally, the falafel is excellent, authentic and so tasty paired with the dill and tomato dipping sauces. The mujaddara is unique and unlike any other around due to the pickled veggie garnish, plus you should receive enough for at least two meals. Tabbouli and fattoush salads were always fresh, as are the hummus and baba ghanoush, and the lentil soup is some of the best around.

Do not sleep on the arayes, either – they are so good and filling at an excellent price (less than a tawook sandwich, I believe). Fantastic paired with some salad.

I remember this place from back in the day, when it still made fantastic food but was definitely more of a takeout joint. Since changing hands, the interior and bathroom appear to be much cleaner and more suitable for dining-in, although I would still drive an almost insane distance to takeout from this place.. The food is so uniquely tasty and comforting, and it makes you miss it. Thanks for it all!

Food: I love the chicken shawarma sandwich so much, so much flavor and very filling! I give it a 10/10! The extra garlic sauce on the side makes it so much better but they do charge 1.50 for it. I used to go alot in high school to buy, during that time it was like 8 dollars now its 10.30 plus tax. That’s all I have ever tried but I enjoy the food even though the price change.
Service: Always quick and easy to order! I love that!
Atmosphere: Usually not crowded, lots of space to eat inside!

Absolutely the best Mediterranean food made from honest to goodness great people.

It reminds me of true Lebanese cooking that I’ve had in the past and they have the best falafel I’ve probably ever had.

Everything is fresh and handmade, and weather you love rice or fries, you will not be disappointed.

If you happen to get a side of hommos expect grocery store amounts.

Please visit this wonderful establishment and not only get your money’s worth, but also a true Mediterranean meal.

This was not at all what I expected or good I’m sorry to say. Based on the picture, I assumed a red sauce came on the side and apparently it does not so I had the meat on top no vegetables as represented in the menu picture then that red sauce and then the rice. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if it was the sauce or some other seasoning but whatever it was it was so overwhelming, I couldn’t eat any of my dinner. The meat was so incredibly dry and normally when I get Shawarma has a nice garlic taste to it this did not at all.

We enjoyed our time at Haifa Falafel very much. The Haifa bowls we got contained a lot of food, and it tasted very good. The food was fresh. and nice and warm. We felt that it was a good value and we will be back. We got another bowl to take home too!

We mentioned that we were coming in today for the first time and they were very welcoming. The restaurant was very clean.

I tried the falafel sandwich with extra sauce, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The falafel were freshly fried and soft. For the price, the sandwich was a great value – it was huge and grilled perfectly. The customer service was excellent as well. While I waited for my order, the manager offered me a sample of their falafel, which tasted great. I will definitely be recommending this place.

The food was great!

I’m not sure about the reviews saying that it was a lot for the cost though. 17$ for a shawarma plate that came with two sides; the meat was covering the lentils, which seemed like less meat than you would have expected at that price point and that the lentils were meant to bolster the appearance of that.

Aside from that, I’m really not happy that my food was served in Styrofoam at that price either. This isn’t a Detroit Coney Island. After finishing my food, I noticed where the hot food had melted the polystyrene, which undoubtedly leached into my food. For this reason alone I would never order a plate there again, until they chose take out containers that are more healthy conscious. Especially for 17$, and especially when I declared that I was dining in.

Finally, music was turned on really loud, to the point where having conversation – an a important conversation which was the reason for my dining there to begin with – was not possible. After asking if it could be turned down, it was turned off. Then it was turned back on, loudly, multiple times periodically, for a minute or two, before being turned off again. As if this was some sort of passive aggressive assertion that I am unwelcome.

Edit; intentionally misspelling my name while responding is childish.

Pita pita has better portions at a better price point. Their shawarma is 5.99.

My friend and I were there for an hour. In an otherwise nearly empty restaurant. If you had any sense of customer service, you would have appreciated that. As well as the 20% tip for placing the already paid for food, whom the cook already boxed, into a bag.

Way to make it go from a 2 star to a 1 star (as well as the 5 I gave for food) and to ensure I never eat there again and encourage anyone I know to enjoy pita pita instead. Really, smart okay from a business owner. This reactive attitude on a public forum definitely assured me that you weren’t being passive aggressive after I requested the volume was lowered.

Update: Since my last review we’ve ordered from here several more times, consistently good, our go-to place for Shawarma.

We’ve been here many times, usually for the wraps, which are huge and delicious. Today we got the Mix Shwarma wraps. All the ingredients are fresh and everything is made to order. The seating area is pleasant and parking is plentiful. We’ve never had a bad experience here.

I swing by and get a Haifa bowl with mujaddra and falafel every couple weeks after a volunteer shift nearby, and I have never been disappointed! Falafel has a good crispy fry, but is never too oily or too dry. The pickled and fresh veggies with the mujaddra and the sauce hit the spot every time without fail. Delicious
