If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food that hits the mark, Hai Au Lang Nuong is just absolutely excellent. I loved my experience here and can’t recommend it enough.
The Food
The menu is a standout for anyone craving genuine flavors. Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and prepared with the kind of traditional touch that is hard to find elsewhere. It’s clear they don’t cut corners on authenticity.
The Atmosphere & Service
What really sets this place apart is the authentic Vietnamese decor. From the moment you walk in, the setting transports you, creating a warm and inviting vibe that perfectly complements the meal.
To top it off, the staff are incredibly friendly.

Incredibly Colourful and Vibrant Vietnamese Restaurant !!

Located on Canley Vale Road, Canley Vale corner of Clifford Avenue.

Very Spacious and Eye Catching Interior.

With an Equally large Outside Dining Area.

Very Extensive Menu. Offering something to Suit Most People and Budgets.

Had a Coconut Milk Drink, a Special Fried Rice and a Beef & Vegetable Sizzling Plate.

Outstanding Presentation and the Taste was Superb !!

Highly Recommend !!

Very authentic Vietnamese food with great vibes. There are lots of decorations, and they’re really cool, which adds to the overall atmosphere. The place gets quite busy, so I’d recommend booking in advance rather than walking in.

There is alot going on at this restaurant. If you are someone who gets overwhelmed by a busy surroundings probably not the best restaurant to go to for you as there are alot of decorations everywhere!
Foodwise im going to say if you are not the adventurous type and you dont like strong overpowering flavours, also dont go here. The food was really expensive, some were beautifully presented and others not so much, some weird combinations and flavours.

Lang Nuong Hải Âu serves truly authentic Vietnamese food with flavours you can’t find in most other Vietnamese restaurants. From the rustic décor to the way each dish is prepared, everything feels genuinely Vietnamese. The food is delicious, full of real home style flavour, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re dining in Vietnam. A wonderful and unique experience

We tried their signature barramundi sour hot pot. Honestly, the best in Sydney! Flavorful, tangy, and always consistent.
The grilled chicken with sticky rice was perfectly done, and the sugarcane prawns were big and tasty.
Loved the fried intestines. Crispy and delicious when hot.
Only letdown was the grilled ox tongue, which was a bit undercooked.
Highly recommend trying their fresh coconut . Super refreshing.

Service is quick and friendly. The place has a unique decor and live music that brings the vibe of Southern Vietnam.
Definitely coming back!

A well known staple of Canley Vale – you can’t miss this restaurant. Its two storeys high sitting on the corner and plays Vietnamese music loudly you can hear it down the street. Definitely brings you back to Vietnam in terms of atmosphere. Food wise is good but the fish stew was a bit too sweet compared to the original version in Vietnam. Tables and floors are a little sticky but that’s to be expected given the authentic vibe. For Vietnamese cuisine it’s not that cheap – 7 adults and a handful of toddlers our bill came to $600.

My friends recommended this place and I came all the way to try their dishes and I’m glad that I made the trip. The food here was worth the trip.

They had a wide variety of options on their menu for food and drinks. My friend ordered a few dishes which I didn’t know the name and they all tasted delicious. My favorite would be the pork and beef. They were all cooked to perfection and flavorsome. The sweet and sour bits of some dishes were quite appetizing and made me crave for more.

We didn’t wait long to get our food and drinks, thumbs up to the quick service. Staff were polite and efficient too. This place got busier later when we were close to finishing our food, which proved how good the food here was and the price was decent.

They had got nice decor in here with Buddha statue and mini fountain. The karaoke that filled the atmosphere lightened up the ambiance. Overall I enjoyed the dining experience here and I highly recommend this place.
