We moved away about 1 year ago and this was our go to chicken spot when we lived out in Mass. My husband was in Korea for a couple years and says this chicken is home-y and legit. I recommended this place to all my friends when I tasted it for the first time. the spicy, soy garlic, even plain wings are freakin unmatched. Always with a side of their crispy crinkle fries lol. The workers there were always so nice. We miss it and crave frequently!!
When one of my colleagues tipped me off about Hahaha Chicken, I couldn’t resist clucking my way over to try it. As someone who’s always on the hunt for the next great chicken spot, I was excited to see if this place is better than fried chicken joints in Boston.
First off, the value was amazing. Compared to other Korean chicken spots in Boston, these wings felt like a steal. No skimping on size here, and the sauces were customizable. I went for the 20-wing deal with soy garlic (my usual go-to) and the signature hahaha sauce.
The soy garlic, while lightly glazed as requested, was a tad sweeter than I’m used to and lacked the punchy garlic kick I crave. It wasn’t bad, just a little offbeat. Hahaha wings were slightly better (very similar to typical Korean spicy sauce but without the heat).
It is a takeout-only spot, so my 30-minute drive home did leave the wings slightly soggy, but even then, they were good. Overall, a solid pick given the price and portion.
Note that it’s really a takeout only place.
Bonus: super friendly family running the restaurant!
We couldn’t decide which one to choose they even offered some samples. It was very unexpected.
The spicy chicken sandwich was very fresh and delicious. The chicken inside the sandwich was very big. For 9.99$, it was worth it.
We ordered two types of chicken. One is soy garlic another one is teriyaki pineapple. Both were delicious. But I didn’t find the pineapple flavor in the teriyaki chicken. But still, it was worth it.
Lastly, we tried their vegetable-fried mandu. The vegetables inside were very tasty, which also made this dish very delicious.
I would definitely recommend this place.
They don’t have any sitting arrangements.but if you cross the street you will find a perfect spot to sit outside and eat.
The side of kimchi and pickled daikon saved the day. The resturant is clearly set up for take-away only. There are no tables. The walls are lined with chairs.
You won’t find a fresher, crispier chicken anywhere else The service at this restaurant was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive.
