Found this gem of a bakery. Family owned and ran like the good old days. As you walk in you fell like your transported to the days where pride was essential in your business. The ladies greet you and makes you feel welcomed I have to say its amazing. From the butter cookies, butter cake to my favorite dutch chocolate cake. It was moist almost silk like textured.I do recommend to call and place your order.

How did I not know about this bakery. It was absolutely delicious. We purchased a cake for my wifes birthday which we did not eat yet but the cream donuts were fresh and delicious. The woman running the store was very friendly and even put a cake aside since I could not make it until later in the afternoon. The prices are probably the best around for the quality of the food you get. We will be back to sample more now that I found this bakery.

Stopped in to pick up some goodies for my boyfriend’s birthday. The woman behind the counter was so incredibly nice and helpful with her recommendations. I originally went for the butter cake, but ended up also taking home a bee cake (delicious), 2 slices of Bavarian cream cake (incredible) and the apple strudel. The bakery is CASH ONLY, but even with all of the items I purchased, it was only around $15 which I thought was a great deal. We will absolutely be turning into repeat customers and we will be back.

Haegele’s Bakery is an absolute gem! Their jelly doughnuts are out of this world — soft, fresh, and perfectly filled. And the chocolate chip cookies? Pure nostalgia — they taste just like the ones from childhood, warm, buttery, and comforting. Every time I come back to Philly, I have to stop here and stock up. The quality, flavor, and old-fashioned charm never disappoint. A true Philly treasure!

Love Haegele’s! Hands down the best bakery I’ve ever been to and I’ve lived all over the country. We live an hour away now and still consider the drive worth it. It’s a family owned business. With an old world charm that hasn’t changed in the 30 years we’ve been going. Everything they make is incredible.

I’ve lived in Mayfair since 2006 and yesterday as the first time I tried this bakery. The French jelly twists were delicious!!!! The cupcakes were just OK but the hazelnut torte was really tasty! Cream donuts were good but not as good as Holmesburg Bakery’s cream donuts! The staff is very nice!
