Always enjoy eating on the patio at Hackneys on Harms. Hostess Mary is always warm and welcoming. Our servers, Avery and Patrick, were terrific! And Elizabeth at the bar. Everyone is so friendly. Julie and Shae were also welcoming.

We got there around 6pm, the lovely hostes told us it will be just 15min wait for the 2 of us. We left our name and went for a walk (it’s really nice there), after 15min we came to check just to be told to wait for another 15min. Ok that wasn’t so bad, so we did. They seated us after 35min of waiting. I order their Famous Hackneyburger more rare than medium and my friend ordered Fish and Chips. Food came at 7:50pm! We almost decided to leave but food was finally there. I can’t describe my disappointment when I took the first bite and instead of juicy meat I tasted completely well done burger, it was dry and tasteless. No dressing, the bun was stale and then I looked over at my friend whos face reflected mine so I asked him how was his dish. He frowned and said this has nothing to do with fish and chips(fries in this case), fish was tasteless not crunchy or crispy at all and everything needed seasoning. We were really really hungru so we decided not to complain or wait for the new order so we ate what we had and left. Once again the staff is so nice and serving, the garden is neighbourly pleasant but the food was horrible. We both had stomach aches after 30min of finishing our meal. Never coming back to this place again.

Restaurant with great outdoor space when the weather is good! Potato skins with bacon and cheese are great, and the burgers are big. Will come again!

Great place for a reasonably priced meal. Always pleasant staff. Outdoor setting on a warm day is relaxing.

In the first place you need more stars for the atmosphere. This is the coolest place possible to have a romantic dinner. It has a magical feel, it is private, it is heated, it is cozy, there is rain on the roof at least today which makes it even better, the waitress is very friendly and helpful and nice to be around, the food is excellent. The prices are very reasonable.

I like the vibe but most of the food I had was completely average. First time going back since my childhood and I expected it would be great as it’s kinda a household name in the area.

Hadn’t been here in 40 years. Nothing has changed except the server. And maybe the additional outside garden seating, don’t recall that.

Very nice outside patio, good way to spend and early lunch after a bike ride. Service was good, workers very polite and attentive but the food a collective let down. But the food….Onion rings greasy, not crispy, chicken fingers had no flavor and not crisp, and how could you screw up french fries? They had no flavor and the texture was nonexistent. Saving grace of the whole meal was a Reuben.

As always very delicious. In addition to their perfect Hackney burgers, the brisket sandwich is awesome. It is very tender and tasty. The bottomless fries are always a treat too. They are doing the social distancing very well with their domes (shown in the pictures). They pretty much give you everything through this window which opens and closes so you feel very safe. They also have nice blankets and small heaters in each dome to try to keep you warm. They are so welcoming too. We will definitely go back there again and hope everyone will try it. I think you will like it.

Been going here my whole life (one of the few places still around— and that’s saying something—I’m 71 ). But hadn’t been for probably 30 years. But when I went last week I found d it never better— the burger on black bread, the fries, and best of all—the amazing non-greasy onion rings..!! Cole slaw nearly as good as Carson’s..!! Service also great..!! What a great dinner
