closest thing to California Mexican restaurant food found thus far
dish descriptions are off or something however it was tasty.

authentic style music helps.
chile verde = authentic pork chile verde with tender pieces of pork which has been slow cooked and usually a stew or ‘wet’ however this lunch was Carnitas burrito with a drizzling of ‘verde’ or tomatillos sauce (?) somethings are still tasty.

Went for lunch and the chips were stale. Ordered the steak fajitas and when the fajitas came out they weren’t even sizzling overall wasn’t the best. Maybe in the evening it’s better, but the lunch experience wasn’t that impressive.

There are some incredible Mexican restaurants in Lafayette. But after eating here, I can honestly say, this is the best, and most authentic Mexican restaurant, I’ve ever been to. My wife and I love Mexican food, but this specific location, has the best quality Mexican food you can find. The seasoning is amazing, and it’s absolutely cooked to perfection. You will not go wrong coming here. The best!! FYI: The fish tacos, and the chicken quesadillas, are incredible.

Portions are VERY generous. Unlimited options to choose from. If you don’t see what you want ask, they are more than happy to accommodate your request. Prefer green sauce instead of red, just ask. If you’re really hungry try the Molcajete #57 plenty for more than 1 person

Went here for the first time for my birthday. It was about 7 pm.
There weren’t many people in there which I like and we got seated quickly. The chips and salsa were really good. We got our food pretty quick. My sister and I ordered #33(?) with a beef and chicken chimichanga and they were great. The beef was a bit salty though. I stole a fry from my nephew and it needed some seasoning. Mother said her shrimp chimichanga was really enjoyable but is smaller amount than mine and my sisters. Overall, really good food and we would go there again

La Hacienda (The real one!) has always been top notch food and service since they were across by Walmart. The margaritas are good and you definitely can’t beat the 2 for 1 !
