Food is good. Cheap margaritas and alcohol. Regulars are obnoxious. Don’t expect salt on your margarita if your known there either. I used to enjoy it. After tonight I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Went here at the end of January and should have trusted the recent reviews.
Had to wait a couple minutes for the one server to bring the menus after seated. There were three people at the bar & two other tables. With one server seemingly running the bar and also in charge of each table.
We received chips and salsa. The chips were stale, first one I had left a bad taste in my mouth.
We ordered tacos, rice & a vegetarian meal. The rice came out overly cooked. The tacos seemed okay, but was quite disappointed by the plates the food was served on; with big chips missing from one particularly. The queso was okay, and did like that it was not actually iceberg lettuce.
Would have to take a huge improvement in the whole restaurant to want to go back.
The vibe was depressing and run down. I love hole in the walls, but this was not it. There are many other Mexican spots nearby, and will not be back to this one.

This is our main go-to-place for food and the best margs in town! They treat us like family every time we visit. Occasionally we’ve stopped at another Mexican restaurant to try out of curiosity and still find HACIENDA remains #1 in CR in all aspects in our book; at this time there is no need to try any other place. Food is always great, service is excellent even when they’re busy. They know how to check on their customers from the first beverage served until it’s check time. The next generation in this family (now grown up) even understands why Dad has been going to this place since before they were born. Both 1st Ave and Center Point Rd will take care of you.

When we first showed up our waiter was ready for our order but we didn’t know the menu so we needed a minute. Our waiter never came back so we had to waive down another waiter. The second waiter took over our table and was quick. Unfortunately he checked to see how our food was before the steak was cut into. The chimi was great but the steak was horrible! First it was a bad example of tbone, all fat and bone very very little meat, it was supposed to be medium rare but as you can see in the picture it’s pure red not pink. My son who had been so hungry lost his appetite dealing with the steak. Sadly he says he will never eat there again. If you want Mexican the food is good but avoid the steak at all costs.
