Ordered a little too ambitiously assorted nigiri, octopus takoyaki, and chashu fried rice and only made it through a fraction before realizing I was more in the mood for a breather than a full meal. This place always always is spot on, best Japanese in East Tennessee.

The outside does not do it justice. Inside was clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. The server greeted us promptly and showed us to a booth. He took our order and made suggestions as we went. The homemade ginger dressing on the ample salad was delicious as was the miso soup. We both had hibachi shrimp dinners paired with scallops for me and chicken for him. The portions of rice and vegetables along with the proteins gave us very full plates. We didn’t need the white sauce that came with it as the flavors were perfect without it. Would highly recommend and we will be back.

Excellent experience! The food was delicious! Their House Soup was very good and not overly salty. Their shrimp sauce was light; not heavy like other Japanese restaurants in town. The atmosphere was pleasant and there is jazzy instrumental music in the background. The food is reasonably priced and the bathrooms were clean too. We will definitely go back and highly recommend going there.
