Really it’s an awesome burger place! However if it’s better than in and out it’s hard to say. It really depends on yourself. It’s really delicious but I still favr in and out. (edit) wins over regular cheese burger, very close to double double (again review is quite personal) You’ll still have to try it yourself

I live in West LA and my son in the IE, so we often meet in between to catch up in person. This is one of our spots because the food here is always fresh and we’ll prepared. This visit was a disappointment. It was clear the guy behind the counter did not want to be bothered with people because I stood at the counter for several minutes while being totally ignored, even after making eye contact. Then I noticed the order kiosks behind me. I’m not a fan of order kiosks, but used them since I had had driven an hour and was wasting precious time waiting to orde and it was clear I was not going to get help from the guy behind the founter. To add insult to double injury, I ordered the sliders for the first time and they were dry and overcooked. I only ate half of one. My adult son however, was very happy with his Char burger with cheese and bacon and hot fries which is the reason for 4 stars. Also there was no available seating inside and it was too windy outside so we ate in the car. Had I been solo, the rating would have been one star for this visit with an update after the next visit if warranted.

The food here was okay, but the service could use more attention to detail. I placed an order and specifically asked for no ice. When I arrived for pickup, my order wasn’t ready yet, so I sat down to wait. While waiting, I noticed an employee grab a cup for my order and fill it with ice anyway. This made me wonder if they automatically assume everyone wants ice or simply ignored my request. The order clearly stated no ice. When my order was finally ready, I had to empty the cup and refill my drink myself. It’s a small detail, but it matters—either let customers fill their own drinks, or make sure to follow the instructions on the order.

For a limited time (until November 30, 2016), you can try their new Golden Chicken Sandwich, their first fried chicken option. The Golden Chicken Sandwich ($6.25) is made with a fresh, filleted chicken breast that is hand-dipped into house-made seasoned flour and buttermilk twice before being fried and topped with a new spicy red pepper sauce, fresh sliced tomato, lettuce, and tangy pickles on a soft toasted bun (I chose grilled sourdough). I also added Swiss cheese (+ $0.60). The double dip in the seasoned flour and buttermilk provides a crispy, blistered, and flavorful coating to the juicy chicken breast inside. The red pepper sauce is a tad spicy but provides a lively flavor kick for your taste buds. The Swiss cheese adds a cheesy, nutty, and bitter bite to the sandwich. The Habit absolutely needs to add this permanently to the regular menu! Rating: 5/5
If you’re craving a burger and sides, try these:
Double Charburger ($4.25) is made with 100% fresh ground beef patties char-grilled over an open flame and topped with mayonnaise, pickle, fresh tomato, lettuce, and caramelized onions on a toasted bun (the hubby chose grilled sourdough). It is just amazing how grilled sourdough makes this burger great! I think the sourdough provides an umami flavor that goes well with the ground beef and the toppings. The burger is grilled perfectly with a juicy interior and chargrilled flavor. Rating: 5/5
Tempura Green Beans ($2.95) are fresh-cut green beans lightly battered and flashed fried to perfection. I love fries with burgers and sandwiches, but these Tempura Green Beans are just too delicious to pass up. I paired them with my Golden Chicken Sandwich and they went together quite nicely. The crispy, golden brown tempura on the outside contrasts the juicy, slightly sweet green bean inside. I’m so happy they are part of the regular menu! Rating: 5/5

Food always solid. But the customer service at 0. As paying consumers we were not even acknowledged. Not saying we have to be but create a welcoming environment

Honestly, this is the worst habit I’ve been to, they told me they don’t have the $6, $8, nor $10 meals, because there is a college nearby and this is the only one that doesn’t carry that but only advertises that they said, I think that’s ridiculous and false advertisement, also I ended up ordering something anyways, and my dragon fruit limeade tasted like straight water. I talked to the manager regarding this, and she mentioned she could not change it out until it’s done, which is crazy it’s completely full and it looks like no one wants it, so they won’t replace it, I will never recommend this location.

Food is good but this location has poor service and atmosphere. They grumbled at us when we did not want to use the kiosk told us that they were too busy doing other stuff and unless we wanted to wait long to use it. They are all about the bottom line these days and not about customer service. Just get you and out with just enough staff to be bear bones. Then every table was filthy, when asked if we could the table clean again they were busy doing other stuff so it would take awhile. I just cleaned it with the water and napkins.

Went on a day and time it was busy and full of customers. Perhaps because of labor hourly wage hike in California, portions of food appeared smaller and indoor table spacing was a little bit tighter at least judging from memory of having eaten there several times in the recent past. Service was good. Spilled a full cup of water on the high lunch counter that dripped onto the floor and worker got on it right away. Covered the floor where it was spilled with napkins and tray paper mats. Told the person who was taking orders but waited until after the lunch crowd was gone to let him know water was spilled. Appreciated the quick response.
