Ate at the habit yesterday. It was busy but manageable. While standing in line a person came up to pick up his order it was wrong. We ordered and spent 36.07 which included two orders of onion rings. While we waited we saw our onion rings on the counter for at least 10 minutes. Went to pick up our order and the rings were cold. The employee said he’d redo them (after he touched them). He brought the rings to the table and they were burnt, hard and tasteless. They were so tough they cut the top of our mouths I went to the employee and said these are unacceptable and you just refried them. He asked if we wanted new ones (now? Should have been new ones). Said he would refund our money and has t done so. I really doubt he cares. Do better Habit LaVerne

I cannot for the life of me understand how the employees at this location can find reading a screen and assembling a burger to be so difficult that they have a 90% failure rate. Time and time again I order a burger with only meat cheese and bun and they mess it up. Not once, not twice, but three times on the same visit. Today was my last order that will ever be placed with any location of this company. They obviously dont give a damn about their company or they would have corrected the problems a long time ago.

They were more engaged on completing the online orders and over looked at the costumers that were trying to place orders in the restaurant. I asked twice if I could place my order and they said yes but didn’t help. The line was getting longer so the manager came to take my order but he had a very rotten attitude! He’s rude and very unhelpful. It hasn’t been the first time that I’ve experienced his unprofessional attitude but today was the “ cherry on top”. The couple behind me mentioned that they have had a very unpleasant experience with him.

We have been coming to The Habit since they opened. This one in particular under manager Manny is amazing. Today we had veggie burgers and they made them to perfection. I will say I miss the thin and sliced cucumbers from years ago. The onion rings were crispy. Lastly, their Pepsi is Wow! Please do whatever you’re doing and not change that machine. We are a coke family. However, the Pepsi here is incredible.

Food was great! Price sucked! Everything is inflated now a days. Now they got the Habit. I could not believe my bill was $16.00 I like the Habit. Always get a double cheese burger. I thought I would try the new Chicken Ciabatta sandwich. Was delicious too. Just not for my budget.

Habit is a great local burger chain out of Santa Barbara. Their stores are clean, the servers are well trained and cheerful and the menu items are different, fresh and delicious. I always get the grilled chicken, Santa Barbara style. It comes on grilled sourdough with grilled onions and avocados.
On my last visit, I asked if the server ever heard of “animal fries”; he did and offered to make me a batch but I already ordered tempura green beans… I’ll try them next time.

Location:Good, Parking: Good, Service Good, Hiring for new crew:yes, Food for price: Okay, Overall: been to a few of these restaurants and yes depending on whose is making the food will affect the outcome. Bought 2 Cheese Burgers and Ahi Sandwich with fries. Both burgers were enjoyed by the requestors. My Ahi was okay compared to other Habits. The fries were not as hot as they could be and got cold fast. They do need help so if you know some one looking….

They are so generous with free food. Use the app it is useful to get noticed as to how often you frequent their establishment.

amazoning stunning taste old fashion burger with taste of beef! not some meat you are not sure if it is real beef. Don’t forget put well done. I choose no any sauce. The basic charburger is their best in town. And sometimes you can get buy one get one free on apps or Ubereats. After i have this two tender burgers for only $8 with no line I won’t go to In N Out crazy line. And In N Out I can’t taste their beef favor of burger, it feels like beyond meat in some other restaurant.
