Unfortunately it wasnt what I was hoping for. The taco salad was super watery, had way too much guacamole and I just didn’t enjoy the flavor. The salad shouldn’t look like soup though, just saying. Also, they didnt salt or season the tater tots at all so just bland and not worth the $19 I spent here. Pretty disappointing.

Burrito supreme did have a little too much liquid dripping that it ripped at the bottom. But that didn’t slow me down. Caritas were still so crispy and delicious. My wife had al pastor tacos so flavorful! Guacamole is more of a Guacamole sauce but still really good. We both agreed this is this is the top of mexican food around here we have been looking for. Can’t wait to try other things from here.

I’ve been going to Habeneros very frequently for 2 years. My favorite orders are Chile Relleno and Quesabirria.
I just finished my Quesabirria tonight and it was the best I’ve had. SO much flavor that hit just right. I’ve had similar experiences with Chili Relleno as well in the past.
Their beans are also my fav I’ve ever had and refried beans are a guilty pleasure so I often judge a place on how they prepare their beans.
I will admit, sometimes the food is amazing; blowing me away and a few times it’s just good. I’ve wondered if it’s different chefs cooking. But if it is one chef that makes the food above and beyond I would time my visits to make sure they’re working when I visit.
Habeneros is worth a try certainly! Currently my favorite Mexican joint.

The food was delicious and staff was very friendly. I ordered the birria and those tortillas were packed with meat and cheese. You can see the cook making the food fresh to order and it still came out pretty quickly. Theres a drive through option but we decided to dine in and the inside was clean and cozy. I highly recommend this spot for quick inexpensive and delicious authentic Mexican food

Had to try Habaneros one of the Mexican places I have not tried on 4th plain, close to i5. I ordered the 4 street taco plate with 2 carnitas tacos and 2 lengua tacos, both were bland and meat tasted a little too close or past expiration and was not impressed. Their hot sauce was really good however.. There are alot of good to great taco places on 4th plain which i frequent alot, and this was the least enjoyable tacos I’ve tried in the area. Even muchas Gracias which habaneros replaced was better.

I will never return here again. I ate here religiously for a few months. The food is okay. Not the best not the worst. But here’s what got me. I came in one time after having spent a decent amount of money here and asked to use the restroom. They recognized me and still refused. They demanded I buy something. I live up the road and tried to express the facts. Human decency is gone. Ever will I buy something here again. The food cart next door is better anyway.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this place was a letdown from start to finish. The chips tasted like they’d been sitting out since last week, the salsa was somehow both watery and bland, and the entrée I ordered arrived lukewarm.
The service didn’t help either—when I asked a simple question about the menu, they acted like I was inconveniencing them. The whole vibe felt rushed and careless.
There are plenty of great Mexican restaurants out there… this just isn’t one of them.

I have been coming to this location since I was a kid. The building might be outdated and not the prettiest but the food is consistently awesome. The price range is good and they are open very late, like 4am on Friday and Saturday late. The staff is fast and friendly and food tastes homemade. You really get a good amount for the price.

I’m not sure what’s happening with this location but its starting to decline. This last time I got a full order of their carne asada chips and I did not get the correct change, yeah it’s only a dollar but still and on top of that my nachos are mostly chips and it looks like a half order of the asada chips. I’m not sure if I will continue to come back to this location.

Bought a full order of their carne asada chip (again) and got a half. I guess that’s what it is during a pandemic.

This place is great they have a awesome fish burrito and my wife dident like the first burrito so we talked to the staff and they were generous enough to replace her food at no additional cost wich turned out great great food and great staff definitely going to be comming back

The place was empty when I arrived at peak lunchtime, which should have been my first clue.
The gal that took my order seemed annoyed that she actually had a customer but she helped me right away.
I got the rolled tacos w/ guacamole and the two enchilada combo. Both were completely awful.
The rolled tacos were about the same as what you’d get from a grocer’s freezer, except there was a disgusting attempt at guacamole slopped on them in addition to a pile of low quality, unmelted cheese.
The enchiladas were no better. While they had a fair amount of shredded beef in them, it tasted terrible. They were made worse by the mountain of wet lettuce that covered them.
The beans were good but topped with unmelted cheese; the rice was gross, too.
They had good house made hot sauces, which you’re gonna want to use to hide the taste of everything.
Keep driving passed this place. Seriously.
