Great food, music and service! We went in for a craving and enjoyed 2 entrees because we couldn’t decide. Both the carne asada and the tacos de lengua were delicious. They are authentic and attentive. Our 4 year old finished all her food!

This place is my go-to as I live close by. Just glad it’s a bit cheaper than the restaurants in the bigger city next to it. Recommend for anyone who lives close by or passing through. Well worth it with the price and selection.

I ordered fajitas to go they were overloaded with veggies, barely had any meat, and was not enough for two, even though that’s what I ordered and paid for. I asked for light veggies, not extra. I don’t feel this was handled well when I called, so I will not be going there again.

We always go to habenaros. Faithfully. And last night I did a pickup order and the whole meal was so disgusting. Couldn’t even eat the mozzarella sticks cause they weren’t cooked. The acp barely had any queso on it and the rice was hard as a rock. And the mole enchiladas were sooooo soagy it was disgusting. I called to talk to the manager and he just laughed at me. Literally. Very disappointed in this place. We celebrate birthdays here, anniversaries, and holidays. But not after that. Especially once he laughed at me cause I wanted my order replaced. After waiting for him to come back to the store cause he took a 2 hour break. I won’t be back.

The staff is courteous and responsive. The refried beans are not of good quality, they are excessively watery and have an unpleasant texture, the rice is satisfactory. The fajitas are of high quality and all of the open-ended burritos are large and covered in sauce, therefore the burritos are more similar to enchiladas with ranchero sauce rather than chimichangas with fundido sauce. Enchiladas are typically served with enchilada sauce on top, as they are cooked in the sauce, so the serving style was unusual. The carne asada is of good quality and the chicken was very good, the chorizo makes the fajitas quite greasy, but chorizo is generally delicious.

Took the family for dinner yesterday and was really pleased with the food, taste, and service. Food took me back to my California days where good Mexican Food was everywhere. What pleased me the most was that the food was not greasy like in other places. Best Mexican food i’ve had since moving to NC hands down. Keep up the good work in the kitchen and give them guys a raise.

If I could give negative stars across the board I would. Walked in and the establishment smelled like an ashtray. The waitress seemed to have little to no training. I ordered 2 fried chicken chimichangas that were rolled liked Taquitos and the chicken was wayyyyy overcooked and it was all COLD. Opened them up and found mushrooms inside….. My daughter ordered the child’s taco salad and after she ate a few bites she pulled out a LEAF. My husband ordered fajitas texanas and shrimp tacos which he never received his tortillas for the fajitas or the shrimp tacos until I walked up and spoke to the waitress. They brought him tortillas after his fajitas were GONE and removed the shrimp tacos from the bill and told my husband he could have them for free. The establishment wasn’t busy and there’s absolutely no excuses for the quality of food we received. Will never return and hope to God I don’t get food poisoning

Have been going there for a while and I allways forget to review due to the phenomenal experience my whole family has every single time we go to Habaneros. Absolutely delicious authentic Hispanic food that is top tier for the area. As well as a personable staff that will cater to your needs while there the owner frequently comes by to talk about the food/service and usually gives my kids quarters for the gumball matchine that they love, a truly outstanding affordable quality old school family restaurant.
