Ordered the pork tacos and the port quesadillas for take out… everything was perfect and delicious!!! We got plenty of meat packed into our food and we were stuffed (in a great way) when we were done. We’ll definitely go back. Thank you!!

Habanero Tacos is a reliably good choice. They have decent vegetarian options and I’ve always found their ingredients to taste fresh. I usually get a burrito and got an agua fresca for the first time. I love the delightfully thin totopos that come with burritos and their house salsa

Delicious food! The tacos were piled with fillings and the torta (barbacoa) was flavorful, with nicely toasted bread, plenty of meat, and generous guac! It was a hit with the whole family!

An unassuming little joint just east of the often written about Mexican restaurants on Lake St. The Lake St. corridor has so many decent Mexican dining options that I find it hard to believe more will get into the game. Every time I visit Mpls I go to a different place to get tacos with my daughter. Ended up here by chance and almost missed it in the bright sunshine and shrubs that kind of hide it in plain site. Had to peek in the window to see if they were open and lucky for us they were. A one woman show (at least at the flat top grill) taking orders and serving fresh mouthwatering food. 4$ for a carne asada taco is on the high end but the size of them made you feel like it was a good deal. Chips and salsa were ho hum but that seems somewhat common. Their was a taco truck out front so they must also be mobile and the space inside maybe seats 8 to 10 people. I like the place. Simple menu including a couple breakfast items. Mexican sodas as well as coke products available too. Enjoy!

I miss my moms cooking and this is the closest thing to home that I can get. Super authentic. There isn’t a dish that I’ve tried that isn’t amazing. I live very close and frequent this place a lot And my go tos are the pezole, the taco platter, the burrito and burrito bowl, the torta and the sopes are amazing. Honestly it’s all so good. They should be charging more but I just love this place sooooo much. Will always recommend them. Thank you for feeding me and my husband!! We love you. One thing I would like is if they had a tipping option. I usually ask but they should be getting tips.

I haven’t had Mexican food this good since I left California. I was beginning to give up on it out here in MN. But this place is the TRUTH. The people are kind, the portions are generous, the flavor absolutely HITS. I had the barbacoa and bacon breakfast burrito and a Jamaica. That thing was enormous, but it was so bomb I smashed the whole thing. I haven’t been this content after a meal in over a year.

My favorite place ever. I love coming here and I love the food. Surprisingly many good options for vegetarians which is pretty hard to find.

Holy cow. I cant speak well enough about this place. I randomly picked a mexican restaurant in the area I was working in, came in and had al pastor street tacos that were the best Ive had in Minnesota so far. This is a small mom and pop operation Id guess, so its not shiny sleek as some of the chain restaurants I see, but the service and the food was absolutely stellar.

Solid Mexican food! The vegetarian burrito bowl is super satisfying and tasty. A good option for Mexican food in South Minneapolis.
