After an eventful morning of a hot air balloon flight I was craving a very specific kind of breakfast burrito. This place was exactly what I was wanting! The pork was absolutely delicious and everything was so fresh, especially the guacamole and salsa verde. He even helped my mom with a vegetarian option that wasn’t featured on the menu. I’m picky with my breakfast burritos and I was beyond satisfied and super impressed with the attentiveness and kindness the gentlemen at the front showed us. We even bought the T-shirt! I’ve visited several times since taking over the shop, and every experience has been fantastic. The entire team is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Plus, the portions are very generous, you definitely won’t leave hungry.
It’s such a great feeling to be part of a business community with amazing local restaurants like this. If you’re in North Phoenix and craving fresh Mexican food, I highly recommend stopping by!

I had a machaca breakfast skillet which was so yummy. My husband and his sister had the delicious breakfast burritos.
Miguel offered to accommodate our kids by putting together a special breakfast plate for them with eggs, bacon, has browns and pancakes.
Upon request, Miguel brought me milk instead of cream for my coffee.
Generous portions.

My family and I had such a wonderful breakfast here! We ordered the burritos and a skillet plate, and the kids enjoyed eggs, bacon, and pancakes—everything was absolutely delicious. The service was truly top-notch, and Miguel was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I love Cafe Rio, and always give Costa Vida a hard time for being impersonators of Cafe Rio. It seems like they’re always trying to measure up, but don’t quite make it. Habanero Fresh is to Cafe Rio, what Cafe Rio is to Costa Vida. This place seems like what Cafe Rio is trying to mimic. A++
I flew in with a friend who is from the area in a small plane. I enjoyed everything about it. It felt like an authentic Mexican restaurant, without some of the potentially unsanitary stuff you might find in a restaurant in Mexico.
All of the staff were friendly and approachable. They engaged in conversation, and were genuine about their recommendations.
I got one of their smothered burritos. I told them to make whatever they recommended. I’m pretty sure I ended up with the green chili pork with a habanero salsa.
It had just enough of a kick to almost make my nose run, but not burn and overpower the food. I wasn’t all that hungry, but couldn’t stop eating. The burrito was huge, but I downed it all.
Would definitely eat here again.

I almost gave up on good Texmex and Korean places as they usually over salt, over cook, etc… Not so fast, this place kills it. I had lg breakfast burrito with onions and Serranos…we’ll done! Food was hot fresh and served with a smile…You know everyone in the dinning room loves the food when it’s quiet bc everyone is just enjoying their plates and you see young families sharing meals. Hot sauce is awesome selection and homemade salsa rocks! For the money it’s a lot of food. Get a selfie of Chucky while you wait inline.

If you really care about eating authentic mexican food look no further and hit this place up. Great vibe and great people too. Awesome service and very friendly. Not to mention their generous portions. I mean look at the burrito and the burrito bowl! Enormous! Pictures don’t do it justice. I also reccomend the menudo on the weekends as well as their breakfast burritos served daily. Also, make sure to try their signature habanero sauce! Thank you soo much guys! I normally go to chipotle, but this was WAY better. this restaurant is absolutely fantastic and the man up front had a smile on his face the whole time and felt welcomed. He put me together an awesome authentic Mexican meal. I will definitely be back.
