My wife and I had lunch at Habana Vieja. I had the palomia steak and my wife had a Cuban sandwich. Both were absolutely wonderful. I lived in Miami 40 years ago and came back here for vacation and this was the best palomilla steak I’ve had since I moved away in 1987. This restaurant made me really homesick for Miami. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a kind hostess who seated us promptly. Our waiter, Omar, provided exceptional service — he was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome.
The food was absolutely incredible — truly authentic Cuban flavors and some of the best we’ve ever had. The entire experience, from the atmosphere to the service and the quality of the food, was amazing all around.
This place deserves to be #1 in Miami for authentic Cuban cuisine. Thank you, Habana Vieja, for such a wonderful dining experience — we’ll definitely be back

When the waiter walks away from you while you’re in the middle of ordering, you KNOW it’s going to be excellent food. 10/10. The food was SO DELICIOUS!!! We are all still talking about it. Don’t worry about the service, that’s how you know it’s authentic Cuban food that you and your family will rave about for days to come. And the FLAN, WOW! It’s AMAZING!!! Just get it.

Traditional Cuban restaurant, I have been getting lunch there since 1988 and always the quality of the tradition is there . Try “ Macitas de Puerco with rice and black beans “ ( fried pork chunks with a Cuban creole dressing.. one of the best Cuban restaurants in South Florida.
Besides you feel home with the staff and A1+ to “ Omar” always being there for you and serving with professional manners.

THE FLAN!! Mi gentes…THE FLAN!! MUAH!!! In my lifetime, I would say I had eaten flan…about 30 times. This was THE BEST flan I have ever had…so far. I’m sure most would recall “that flan”, you know the one that has the lumpy, quiche custardy flavor, that comes with the drizzle sauce that leaves that weird, canned bitter aftertaste…? Not at Habana Vieja. The custard is whipped to perfection. Smoothest, richest, warmest, loving sensations that reminds you that your palate and sweet-centered senses deserve this edible masterpiece.
The food is excellent…if I must say. Our server, Jorge… very attentive. He listened and made great recommendations for food. Plus, he was very understanding of my Spanish. But the flan… incredibile!
