-P.S ….open a location in Monroe county, we need a haaz there ❤️
There’s a pick up section, bathrooms, benches to eat. I ordered a chicken sandwich, macaroni n cheese, and cheese fries. They have great prices and food was prepared quickly. Decent parking in front.
The place is clean, spacious, and loaded with TVs, so you can eat well and keep an eye on the game at the same time. Zero regrets stopping in—this one’s definitely going on my lunch rotation.
It is not only robust from a portion perspective but excellently flavorful. This has become one of our go-to quick fast casual places lately and every time we’re just amazed it’s not packed. If this was near a college campus you’d never get in.
People are super nice and accommodating and the food always arrives freshly prepared and hot.
Don’t sleep on Haaz’s. It’s an excellent value backed by fantastic flavors.
EDIT: as stated below they asked for me to email them with proof of purchase (as they have in nearly every negative review posted)…. No response. I emailed a few days later and they said “management would get to it”…. Now its been over a week. Sorry, you guys made me wait a half hour for preordered food that was royally messed up, tried to save face publicly by telling me to email you, then ignore me. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT? sorry, you guys lost a seconds chance for good.
While eating my sandwich, I discovered a decent-sized metal screw inside the food. This is not a minor mistake—it is a serious health and safety hazard. Someone could have easily swallowed it, broken a tooth, or suffered internal injury. The fact that this made it into a prepared sandwich is alarming.
When I informed the employee, there was no empathy, no sense of urgency, and no apology. The response felt dismissive rather than concerned. The sandwich was taken away and replaced, but that was the extent of the response.
Given the seriousness of the situation, we asked if the bill could be comped (around $50 total). We were told no, that only the sandwich would be replaced. Again, there was no apology, no accountability, and no acknowledgment of how dangerous this situation could have been.
Before leaving, I spoke directly with the manager to request a refund for the contaminated sandwich. She processed something on the register and handed me a receipt. Later, upon closer inspection, I realized the receipt was for someone else’s order entirely. I was not charged for a new order, but I also never received a refund for the sandwich with the screw. I checked my bank statement and there is no pending or completed refund.
At this point, the issue is not just the screw—it’s the lack of professionalism, accountability, and care shown throughout the entire interaction. Mistakes can happen, but how a business responds to them matters just as much.
This could have ended very differently if that screw had been swallowed. As repeat customers who normally enjoy this place, we expected a much better response and hope management takes food safety and customer well-being far more seriously moving forward.
Did you really feel no shame packing up these coal-burnt onions and the burger patty?
I had previously ordered the Philly cheesesteak for dine-in as well, and the bread was so stale that it literally fell apart in my hands.
We don’t deserve this carelessness and disrespect just because we have limited halal restaurant options around here.
