My wife and I love Korean BBQ, and typically head out to mesa to get what we think is the best — so it’s really cool to see a spot like this open up closer to us. It’s probably not the most traditional KBBQ experience you’ll find in the valley, but they clearly know their audience in Fountain Hills and set it up that way.
It’s essentially two separate restaurants in one. You have to choose which side you want to sit on and they’re branded separately as “Seoul Burger” and “Haan.”
One side is an upscale burger brand (great for people who aren’t into KBBQ) and the other side gives you the full Korean BBQ experience with the banchan, grills and the flavors you’re looking for if you actually enjoy traditional Korean food!
We didn’t try the burgers, but they looked good. The quality of the food and service were both excellent. The place is super clean, and the pricing felt pretty typical for Korean BBQ.
Overall, it really fits everyone’s needs, and we’ll definitely be back.

Fountain Hills FINALLY has its own Korean restaurant There’s two sections in the restaurant: order off the menu and K-BBQ. We opted for the BBQ and were definitely delighted by their choice cuts of quality meat plus…your server cooks the meats for you! ❤️ The meats were served fresh and lightly seasoned. If you ordered the combination selections, it comes with all the Banchans (sides-Kimchi, bean sprouts, fish cake, egg soufflé, etc). They also had a nice little selection of appetizers/sides. We ordered the Seafood Pankake (Haemul Pajeon), it was loaded with seafood, it was crispy on the outside, it was PERFECTION! The cuts of meats were very good! The wagyu was tender, the pork belly wasn’t super fatty and the pork shoulder was lightly seasoned so that you can actually taste the meat (and not just the seasoning). It was a nice touch to have your server cook your meats so that you can actually just chill and enjoy the food ❤️ All in all, I hope Fountain Hills keeps our little Korean restaurant going because we kinda need it here (Oh…forgot to mention that you get some soft served ice cream with a little golden spoon at the end of the meal!!!)

Fantastic Korean BBQ experience! The meat quality was excellent, well-seasoned, and very fresh. I especially enjoyed the marinated short ribs and pork belly—cooked perfectly on the grill at the table. The variety of side dishes was impressive, and they were quick to refill them throughout the meal. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely come back!

Outstanding Korean BBQ Experience – Don’t Let First Impressions Fool You!
I’ve been to many Korean BBQ restaurants, so I was genuinely surprised to discover such exceptional quality right here in Fountain Hills! HAAN Korean BBQ has only been open for a week, but they’re already delivering an incredible dining experience.
The Food: price is very fair the quality is excellent and portions are big, you’ll understand why. We ordered the Large Meat Combination for our group of 5 and added chicken teriyaki – the portions were generous and the meat quality was absolutely top-notch. What really sets this place apart is that all the traditional Korean sides (banchan) and appetizers are unlimited, which adds tremendous value to your meal.
The Service: The staff here is fantastic! As someone who’s comfortable with Korean BBQ, I appreciated that they were equally attentive to our table neighbors who were clearly new to the experience. The servers were patient, friendly, and more than happy to either cook everything for you or teach you the ropes as you go. This kind of hospitality makes the restaurant welcoming for everyone, regardless of experience level.
The Experience: Everything about our visit exceeded expectations. The atmosphere is great, the food is authentic and delicious, and the service is genuinely caring. For a restaurant that just opened, they’re operating like seasoned pros.
If you’re on the fence about trying HAAN Korean BBQ, don’t be. This is the real deal, and Fountain Hills is lucky to have such a quality establishment. Highly recommended!

I had never been to a Korean BBQ before. The food was excellent. Our server Chloe walked us through how to order and cooked everything at the table for us. She was absolutely delightful and will request her next time we go there. The quality of the food and amount was perfect. Definite must go to again.

I tried the Seoul Burger side of Haan. Lots of good burger options but I settled on the short rib bibimbap and I wasn’t disappointed. It came in a hot stone bowl so the rice was crispy on the bottom. Very tasty! It also comes with gochujang to add spice and some kimchi. I’ll be back to try the burgers.

So happy to see good Korean BBQ in Fountain Hills. The Phoenix metro area is blessed with many good Korean options, but they are mostly concentrated in the Mesa/Gilbert areas. Haan now brings an excellent KBBQ option to the North Scottsdale area. I would say Haan is aiming to a more high end experience with premium meats and service (closer to Sizzle than Gen/Jin/Kpot/Manna etc). We used to regularly drive down to Mesa for Korean food, but now usually just goto Haan.
Note: Haan is split into a KBBQ section and a more casual burger area, I have only gone to the KBBQ side.

A unique dining experience in Fountain Hills. The meats are barbecued at your table by your server. You select the meat, the cuts, and the portion sizes. Fantastic. There is also a separate dining area with a more conventional menu of sandwiches and burgers. The Waygu smash burgers are awesome. If you’re in the Hills, you have to try this place.

Really was hoping for some good food in fountain hills finally. 3 burgers, chicken tenders, and a rice dish, no drinks. $134. Thats insane. And its just OK, at best. But for the price, you tend to have higher expectations. People were nice. We got there at 830pm and kinda got the ‘eat fast and get out’ treatment. So im paying a $20 tip to get treated like im at at fast food restaurant. They even took my son’s plate when he still had half his burger left. Better off driving into scottsdale unfortunately.
