Who can resist going to a place called the Horny Toad? Not to mention I ended up with the nickname Tobi Frog. And… a horny toad is real. It’s a type of lizard. It’s a whole complex with a resort, 3 or more story restaurant, floating docks for use, pool area with a swim up bar and u-shaped sofas. Boy got the Tequila Lime Shrimp Pasta. Very good, light and flavorful citrus. I went with the Toad’s Wild Ride Burger. It was so juicy and cooked perfectly. You could.also taste the grill flavor. The sweet potato fries were crispy and I got buffalo sauce for dipping. We got to hear a band warming up and doing aound check They were really good. I can imagine it is a hopping place in the evenings with great live music. Our waitress, Ella, took excellent care of us.

Took chance and had Thanksgiving dinner. Had wonder table with lake view. Restaurant was decorated with just right amount of autumn decor. Table and staff were nice. The buffet was fresh with excellent taste and variety. Had 32 ounce prime rib steak and traditional turkey day foods. Over ate. Pies were perfect, even coffee was just right. Highly recommended for special occasion. Price was just right.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at H. Toad’s during lunch. One of the meals we were served had raw chicken — completely unsafe and unacceptable. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, we expected the issue to be handled seriously. Instead, the manager still charged us for the entire meal, even though we couldn’t eat it, and only offered us some ice cream as compensation.
This wasn’t just poor service — it was a health hazard that was handled with little regard for basic food safety or customer care. I hope this review encourages better accountability and food preparation standards in the future.

What here for the poker run and it was a blast. They had live music and fantastic balconies. These were perfect during sunset. The food was mediocre and the staff was nice. The shop is pretty pricey but well stocked. They have a very equipped marina with fuel for all boats. Large and small slips available.

Nice views from the resort, I believe we were on the 3rd level. Food wasn’t the best but better than resorts around. My nachos tasted fine but were served kinda cold. The shrimp and grits were cooked well but not worth the $$ because it was too salty overall. But the views were spectacular. Another reason for 5 stars is the staff, they were very attentive and efficient. We were greeted and seated in a timely manner, we even got our food pretty fast considering we went on a busy Saturday night. Good music as well.
