Just visited the new facility and was blown away!!! It is large and well thought out and beautiful! There is a much larger selection now of baked goods, more drinks, lunch sandwiches. We got the chicken salad and it was delicious on the wonderful homemade bread. Go!!!! Previous review-The BEST donuts anywhere!! Good prices! My favorite is the custard filled chocolate frosted!! Always fresh and soft. Can’t wait for their new expansion to open up. Very exciting!! Oh they are closed on Sunday.

Sweet little bakery in downtown Salem. This was our first time to salem and we stumbled upon this huge but cute bakery.
The staff are super friendly and they have a nice wide variety of Donuts and other sweet n savory items.
They serve coffee and latte and you should definitely try the Hazelnut Latte if you are a fan of that flavor.
The prices are also very reasonable.

H&R Bakery is Salem’s historic gem. It’s been around longer than I’ve been alive. Their recipes are their secret, and word has clearly gotten around. So many people from our community work out-of-county, and so many of their fellow employees have been blessed to be treated with a box of walnut brownies, apple fritters and donuts. If you have never tried the addictive sweets of this place, you owe it to yourself to do so. As an attorney, I’ve hosted lots of people from out of town, and those who try it, always bring it up again in conversation. Life is short. Indulge at least once. You will be glad you did.

Wow! What a cute coffee shop, very clean and lots of seating. It has the coolest miniature set up for a train set, you can add a quarter to see the train move through, it’s adorable! And the bakery has the best! I will drive out of my way to come here again

This is unquestionably the best place for donuts period. I’ve traveled all over the world and nothing compares to what you get from this place. Everything is fresh and made on-site. The prices are very competitive also. I haven’t been inside the new location yet only because they have a drive thru now and it’s super easy to get my fix that way. If you are ever in the area, this is a must visit location.
