Server very friendly, in and out quickly. Pre-made $10 Bento boxes sitting on table for you to decide. Disappointed in food, meat was tough and chewy. Sides were soggy and cold. I got there around noon, thinking things fresher the earlier you go.

Great price. If you are on the go and want to eat good quick Korean style fast food on the go this is definitely a go to. Food is filling without being to heavy. Flavors are simple but you definitely cannot go wrong with the price here. Customer service is super and they keep the restaurant super clean and sanitized for the covid times we are in. Unbelievable prices for the bento boxes. We definitely come back here sometime in the future.

When I was a kid, my lunch boxes were mundane every day same ole’, same ole… Nowadays, I’ve grown up from stale lunch boxes to flavorful bento boxes and one of my favorites is at H & K Lunch Shop.
H & K doesn’t have any indoor or outdoor seating but don’t be fooled by this little kitchen because it serves out some big plates with some big smiles.
The prices are fair, and their bento boxes are packed with delicious bites of comfort food flavors. The atmosphere is always cheerful and the staff is friendly.
During the lunch hour rush, you’ll see people coming in and out all day with smiles. Personally, it’s my go-to place when I need a hearty ono lunch. 감사합니다 Gamsahabnida.

I love H & K! I’m a huge fan of Korean food and have been coming here for years. The portions are generous and the prices are super reasonable. Yesterday I got a bento with a bunch of pickled kimchi veggies and rice, and halfway through the order realized I forgot my wallet in my personal truck (I was in my work truck). The woman at the counter was so soo nice and gave me the food anyways and said I could just call back later and give my credit card and it was no problem at all. I thought that was incredibly kind of her ♥️ I enjoyed the bento so much that I plan on going back again for lunch today! I checked my credit card statement and it only turned out to be $5!! What a deal!!

I love the bento at H and K. I feel it is one of the best bento available. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
I have ordered up to 75 for a function I was holding. They were ready when I got there and everyone loved them. I didn’t have to deal with buying plates or utensils, I knew there would be enough for the latecomers without worrying about portion control. H and K are my go to for catering and I have never been disappointed.

So I eat here a lot. Enough that the employees know me on site. In my opinion this is just about the best Korean food you are going to get on the Big Island. They specialize in take out plate lunches and bentos. They have my favorite meat jun, and a decent selection of veggies and other options.

I had an amazing experience here! I called in a few minutes after they closed at 2PM. The owner graciously told there were a couple bento boxes left that he could save for us if we come pick it up.
The food was a great variety of Korean / Hawaiian inspired meats with Korean side dishes over rice. Can’t get any better than this!

The food is very authentic, which you can tell from the type of rice they use (similar to sushi rice). It is the first time we visited this place, and we are very happy with the food. The store is too small for dine-in. It’s best for take out (there’s a recreation area near-by which has good lake views and tables for sitting/eating).

I was able to place and pay for my take-out order via phone for pickup. I did not get the woman’s name who took my order but she was very helpful and kind. I ordered the bento and a soda since the lunch menu was not available until 11am. Great portions and pricing.
