The ladies were so busy (holiday season) but took the time to make the cake writing and ribbon display on the cake SO beautiful. Very kind bakery workers and the mocha tres leches was delicious!!!

I would not recommend ordering a cake from the bakery. It was very disorganized and did not follow any of the instructions I requested for my daughter’s third birthday cake. They did their own thing upon arrival of me picking up the cake.
They should only have a cake decorator take requests for cakes if a non-cake decorator can’t write down simple instructions and be specific when writing down the customer’s instructions.
I requested for a cake tall enough to have my daughter’s picture put on the front side and the lady I spoke with called her manager to confirm if that was possible and I was told yes. I even said if the picture was too big then it could be trimmed down. I also had customized cake toppers and letters to spell out my daughter’s name that I ordered all the way from Brazil. Not all of the characters were used on the cake like I had referenced to the picture and the letters to her name weren’t even spelled out. They placed the letters on different sides of the cake that were sticking out. You would think as a decorator they would use common sense to know it’s letters to be spelled out for someone’s name. I even insisted on the lady to take a picture or if I could email a picture as reference to what I would like and she said no the first few times then eventually took a picture of it on her phone and “sent” it to the group chat. If they couldn’t do the picture as requested from a customer or was unsure of how to place the cake toppers and letters to my daughter’s name then I would have expected to receive a phone call but nope they ended up doing their own thing.
When arriving to pick up the cake all I was told that “the picture got lost in the group chat and the cake wasn’t big enough for all of the characters.” A picture getting lost in the group chat when you took it on your phone?
When getting home and looking at the cake I was very unhappy with half done job they did with my daughter’s cake and attempted to place the letters together to spell out my her name but the icing ended up having patches from the letters that were sticking out throughout the sides of the cake. I went back to HEB and told the lady that took my request down that I was very unhappy and this was not what I ordered and if the icing could be smoothed out and fixed quick. I also asked to speak to a manager and even that was hard for her to do. When speaking to the manager over the phone they offered to do a refund and said the cake decorators were gone for the day. But what would getting a refund and smash cake do if I couldn’t even use the custom cake toppers I spent money ordering and specifically went to HEB to have an edible image of my daughter do to fix the situation when it should’ve been done right in the first place. I at least should’ve received a call saying they would have to change it per instructions I left or was confused on exactly what to do.
I understand this is a supermarket bakery but I’ve heard nothing but good things from my friends ordering cakes from here and was just having something small and intimate.

I shop here every day as an Instacart shopper. During the holidays it’s crazy but no matter what the customer service and the over all service is great except one meat market employee who thinks he’s a tough guy.

I ordered my cake in the evening and picked it up the next morning; which I think is really fast for a bakery. It was gorgeous and the taste was amazing. It was exactly what I wanted. When I came to pick the cake up I was overwhelmed from planning things and the bakers were so helpful and nice.

Their bakery items are really good, even tho I think all the items come from the same placel, for EVEEY grocery store, i.e. united $ Walmart.
.As with anything!! the foundation has tO be good. I don’t buy their pies because they ruin the product!!! I KNOW they could make a better crust, so why don’t they? Even the “Gourmet ” pies they cost $22_$15 have this HORRIBLE crust! I did buy a Rocky Mountain” sugar free pie & it was delicious! But
