I love a lot about the HEB bakeries…I used to manage bakeries for HEB so I know they care about quality. My review is specifically regarding their garlic bread. There is barely any garlic spread as of late on the pan loaves when I buy their garlic bread. This has been going on for several months…I just haven’t posted because I keep hoping they will realize what’s going on and change it. Do better, HEB bakeries because I happen to know you are better than this. (This was from the marble falls location.)

The cakes are lovely, they’ll even customize piped writing on top for you. Definitely get some of their fresh, warm tortillas! The mixed corn and flours ones are SO good!

The parking lot is absolutely horrendous. It is way too small. They’ve stepped up their game with everything else but I couldn’t recommend them less based on the parking lot and being packed like sardines when you’re in it

I am on a health kick and I have been getting their freshly baked Sourdough bread . It’s so nice and soft. I would recommend getting the freshly baked bread from the bakery. I’ve tried the ones in the aisle and they are not nearly as good as the bread from the bakery.
If your afraid of the bread spoiling fast, your right. But get out the bread in a freezer safe bag in the freezer and it will last you just as long. But don’t do it until the next day you get the bread.
You’re going to want to take a piece of that freshly baked bread the day you get it. 8 promise.

With this visit, I missed the usual bakery smells. To me, the special scent of a bakery is like chumming the water with bait. The scent draws you closer to all the baked goods.

items we get from heb bakery are AWESOME! the crew is always kind & helpful. I’m only giving 4/5 stars due to sometimes the items aren’t the same recipes. still an awesome experience!

I have not been impressed by H-E-B’s bakery. They have very limited selection of breads, their cakes are ridiculously expensive and often stale, and we tried their cheesecake and it was horrible. The Jell-O brand no bake cheesecake mix makes a far better cheesecake and that is pretty pathetic. The tortillas are good if there are any when you get there. The tortilla chips would be great but about 75% of the time they are literally caked with salt. I thought maybe it was just me because I didn’t grow up here and have lived all over the country and just thought perhaps I was spoiled by the bakeries at stores like Wegman’s, but I have talked to several friends who were born and raised in TX and also are unimpressed by the bakery at H-E-B. I like H-E-B otherwise but will be going to a local bakery for my breads and desserts from now on.

Great baked goods and a friendly staff. The fresh tortillas are so good!
But don’t forget to check out the packaged goods as well. The multigrain bread and the roasted garlic batard are as good as fresh baked!

Great store with great prices. Always love going to HEB the only thing I hate is they don’t have one particular item I ALWAYS bought and they no longer have it. But I love every HEB store and the staff because they’re always helpful!
