I placed an order for a custom cake on Thursday, and am picking up today, Saturday 06/18/22
Kat took our order, and she was so extremely kind, friendly, and understanding! She asked specific questions to make sure the cake came out exactly as I had envisioned. She was such a joy to speak with, an absolutely lovely employee
The cake decorator(s) did a magnificent job on the cake, they made it exactly as I had asked for and shown on picture! It is wonderfully crafted, I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever! It is beautiful! I don’t the name(s) of exactly who made and decorated the cake, but I can’t thank you enough!! You did a fantastic job!
I had a very pleasant experience the entire time, from placing the order to picking it up. Thank you Kat for your help, and thank you cake decorators for bringing my vision to life! I would most definitely return to this location if/when I am needing another cake! Thank you guys, and God be with you!

You know, I’ve run into a lot of rude employees here but nothing like the old woman that works in the bakery. She has 0 customer service skills.
When I first walked up, I was just browsing the book they had for cakes you could order. There is a man who works there as well and he was wonderful. So kind and helpful. ( I’m sorry, I didn’t catch any names.) this situation made me uncomfortable and upset.
I went about my business looking at the book and all of a sudden I hear some lady scream towards me “WERE NOT TAKING ANYMORE ORDERS”
Extremely rude and unprofessional. If that’s the case then politely let me know your hours or when you stop taking orders because your website says you close at 8pm and I didn’t know.
I was so uncomfortable that I just ended up leaving.

It has been a while since I have purchased the cake called Heavenly delight. I purchased a small one tonight for my birthday. There was hardly any filling in between the layers. And a bit on the dry side, I was very disappointed.

Thank you Kitty Hawk HEB Bakery Dept for our themed toddler cake!! The fruit filling layered cake was fresh, moist and so delicious! We all loved it and half a sheet was perfect for our party size. However, my experience was more than pleasurable, and I would recommend this location to everyone

I order a cake for my child birthday party, with more then 24 hours prior to her party. Pick up time was 1 in the afternoon.. well guess what cake wasn’t ready they were just making the cake. They told me only 20 more minutes… that didn’t happen took over an hour before it was done… and what is worse i was giving them a second chance as prior year they did the same… I won’t be coming back here… cake was horrible and was falling apart!!!!

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS LOCATION AND IT GIVES HEB A VERY BAD REP. HERE EVERYTHING WAS NOT BETTER THIS DAY. I went to the bakery to order a cake and the bakery representative helping me Caleb and Lisa and 2 other members. Which I didn’t get names due to Caleb stating he cannot give names out due to confidentiality. Mind you I was only asking for first names that appear on the name tags. Caleb said they do not do free hand, just went to HEB in La Vernia and spoke to the bakery team lead Mariah, they were able to make my cake exactly like the picture with zero hassle. I brought in a picture and have had cakes done for the past 6 years with HEB AT THIS LOCATION. I called back to get names and he said due to confidentiality they are not allowed to give names out. But when you walk into the store everyone wears a badge?????? I asked him the store managers name and he said due to confidentiality he was not able to give his name out. I asked for the store number (#555), Caleb stated he was not able to give that number out, “you would need to look that information up” I was transferred to someone else and was able to obtain the unit directors name and corporate store number with zero hassle. I suggest Lavon the unit director get with his staff and especially bakery and get a whole new set of people in that department. What is the actual point of a bakery if you cannot make a cake? Lavon should get bakers in the bakery who can actually help people.

Bought cupcakes and actual cakes here. They have high quality product the workers can be a little rude and the usual “Better Cream” frosting is a hard pass.
