Gyu-Kaku’s meat quality is okay. They don’t serve banchan like Korean BBQ but you can order some kimchi and other appetizers. Beer tower was great especially they carry Asahi and Sapporo!

Favorite Japanese BBQ restaurant in DFW for sure. All the meats are delicious, and even with the steep price of AYCE, it’s definitely worth it because of the selections available & the quality of the meat.

Overall a pretty chaotic experience. We went for lunch on Monday and it was pretty busy but had some open tables. We waited for about 10 minutes at the front before being seated due to the waitstaff needing to clean tables and take care of things.

Once seated, it was all over the place as the waitresses all were running around everywhere. Once we ordered, they lit the flame and brought the grill and the raw meat but didn’t give us anything else. We had to wait to get utensils, napkins, and tongs to cook the meat. Once we started cooking, the grill was already burnt due to being on for a while. That gave the meat an extra char that we didn’t want and caused the flames to light up pretty big.

The food itself was pretty good, especially great value for the lunch special. However, the staff doesn’t appear to be trained well as they were running around and forgetting things. Most of the guests were waiting around for them. It’s more convenient to go to this location but may just go to Addison if really craving them.

Overpriced and overhyped. We had the combo for 2. The amount of meat we got for the price was pretty pathetic. What’s worse about it was that the pepper was covered in dirt. Do they even wash it before serving to the guests? When checking with the server, the server was still trying to argue. I used the napkin to dab the pepper, it came right off. It was clearly soil/dirt. Terrible experience!

We got there around 8 and were seated in about 10 minutes. Our waitress said we could still order the all you can eat, but we would need to put multiple orders in so that we could get what we wanted. She was awesome. Service was excellent. The food came out quickly and was beyond delicious. Our server made sure we capitalized on the premium plates in the ultimate all you can eat and came back frequently to check on us. I would ABSOLUTELY go here again when I am back in the area!

I love this place. The food is great! The cheese corn butter is delicious! My favorite meats to get are yaki shabu beef, bistro hanger and harami skirt steak. The prices are on the high end.

I’ve been here a handful of times. While it is good overall, one star is deducted because of some visits with bad experiences. Overall, the meats are high quality, and taste good. The spicy cabbage is a great entree to offset the saltiness of the meats. Other favorites are the tongue, kalbi, salmon, garlic shrimp, harami, pork belly, garlic noodles, karage.

I recommend making a reservation online prior to coming. Use the app to save whatever you can. It is on the pricey side.

7/10. The staff at least location seems to be a bit less attentive than other locations (especially the San Diego locations) and we ordered one order of the limited menu A5 waygu, which we were told they were out of but we could have the other type of wagyu and then one of the started dropped it accidently (no big deal) took a while but they brought the other one and at the end they charged us for the more expensive order despite getting the less expensive wagyu. Food was good as always considering it’s cook your own nobody else to blame if you food sucks lmao. Would recommend overall, not perfect, but definitely enjoyable.
