Been driving by this place for a while. Finally tried it yesterday. Had the fish burger it was great. Fries and Drink combo was good. Fries are crinkle fries. Because it was my first time they threw in a couple of Onion Rings to try along with the combo. They were good too. Glad I finally took the time to try it.

First time trying and really shocked! The service was super friendly and the food was a higher quality than I expected from a small place. The fish was better than Luby’s square fish! Good portion and crispy. The fries were really great too! Definitely will be returning.

This place is so delicious.
We love having it down the street and they got a new friendly attentive cashier. All the cooks in the back are amazing.
Service is good and fast. Sometimes it is busy but it’s worth the wait.

I recommend the fish burger or bacon cheese burger. Chefs kiss

Friendly service, delicious food at great prices! Hamburgers made old fashioned style w toasted buttery buns, hot crispy crinkle cut fries, and crispy dogs are on point. Do yourself a favor and order the banana split! It is the BEST in town!

My family, and I were in San Antonio to take our son to see his specialist. We had received not good news. We were on our way out of town, when my boyfriend Rick stopped to put gas. I lifted my head, and saw this little restaurant called,” Gyro Drive Inn,” right in front of where we were at. I saw all the traffic in this small restaurant. As soon as my boyfriend entered the truck I told him let’s eat there for lunch. We went in not knowing what to expect. When we ordered we were shocked at the phenomenon prices they were amazing! Then we got our burger combos, with sweet tea, and WOW I was in shock they tasted amazing! But, the best part was Linda she was so kind, and had the best attitude, and the best patience! I asked so many questions, and she answered every single one of them with the kindest attitude, and the sweetest smile. The other workers there the cooks, were amazing too they were very kind, and humble too. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant to anyone who wants great tasting food, at affordable prices, and the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Thank you Linda, and everyone else there for being so kind, sweet, and above all the best place to go to eat in San Antonio! Take care always! 3>

Stopped to grab a bite to eat to go. Took the recommendation of a double cheeseburger “all the way” and it was very good. Krinkle cut fries and a sweet tea rounded out the meal, would recommend a stop in or swing through their drive through.

The cashier was so friendly, and so was the rest of their staff. This is a tasty spot to stop in and have a quick bite to eat.

I can’t say enough times that Dine-in just isn’t what it use 2b. This place on the Southside was always a great small place2go. How times have changed. Sadly not for the better. The food like soooo many places has gotten smaller but more expensive. The burgers are large as there fish sandwiches, but they have gotten thinner. The beef patties use to be thick n juicy and the fish sandwiches were a large thick fillet. Now thet are both thiner and almost all crust and the fries are horribly thin. You can see the menu and wow it’s so expensive like so many places. The service was literally just ordering. Nobody comes out 2 see how your food was nobody comes out 2 clean your table nobody comes out 2see if you need anything. I went 2 the counter 2 ask for a spoon and wow 1 of the workers was sitting on the counter ‍♂️ yeah what a professional look. Sadly this was probably the last time will visit what use 2b such a weekend place back in the day.

It’s ok. I mean, it’s not bad. It’s heavy on nostalgia and you will be full when you leave. If this was a scale of 1-10, they’d get a 5 because it’s food and I wasn’t hungry afterwards.
The service is friendly and they’re not necessarily fast, which is fine but it’s not impressive once it arrives.
The burger is a burger. It’s not any better than other burgers you’ll find but it’s also not the worst. It’s like you went to your friends house and they made you a burger for dinner. It’s just ok. Nothing special about it.
The cheese dog I was actually impressed by. It looked great and the price is fantastic! This I would get again if I was in the area.
The fish burger is good but it feels like a frozen fish patty so yea. It’s crunchy but it’s not quality. If you want a fish sandwich, it’ll take care of that itch.
Fries were ok but could have been crispier. Just didn’t feel fresh. The food gives Malt House vibes all around which is fun but, that’s kinda it.
