⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Wonderful Discovery in Gallipolis!

We took a Saturday drive and made a delightful discovery in the small Ohio town of Gallipolis — a gem called GyrOH, serving Greek and Turkish street food.

We started with the hummus and ordered the combo platter, which was more than enough for two. The platter included three meats — chicken, lamb, and kofte — along with a flavorful pea salad, fresh Greek salad, and perfectly seasoned rice. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the baklava, which was the perfect sweet finish.

The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was warm and family-friendly, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The owner even stopped by our table to share that the recipes came from his mother’s cookbook, which made the meal feel even more special.

We’ll definitely be back — our only regret is that this wonderful place isn’t closer to home!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!
I was shocked by how exceptional the Mediterranean food is here. What seems like a modest little restaurant surprises even the most dedicated fans of Mediterranean dishes.

I spent a little time talking to the owner Sammy to ask how he pulls off fine dining style meals at affordable counter service prices. He simply explained how he is using cherished family recipes and keeps things simple to make sure each flavor and texture works perfectly. And you know what, it does. All of it.

Every dish, and I’ve now eaten here three times this week, is as close to perfection as you can get. It’s honest food. Hand made every day, with an open kitchen so you can watch a master chef cheerfully make you a meal with love.

I’m smitten with this food and the service too. And I dare you to find better in any major city in the country.

The food was tasty, however we had to ask for dolma’s that we had ordered. My wife’s chicken was lukewarm and dry as if it was reheated. My Gyro meat was also kind of lukewarm. The portions were large, and everything else minus the meat being lukewarm was great.

I loved this place, I thought the food was delicious, the service was good and it’s probably one of the most personal restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. The guy came out and asked how everything was and joked and laughed with us. 10/10 would recommend!

Go here. Its amazing! Service, oustanding. Atmosphere, on point super friendly and comfortable. Food. DUDEEEE. I loved it all. My husband is very picky and after eating his food he went back up to grab something to take home. The menu is super customizable, just ask! They are lovely people and will help and suggest what they genuinely think youll like.

I was craving fresh crispy veggies and delicious seasoned meat – something other than fast food and standard fare. Found this place and what a delight! Hand painted murals, beautiful tapestries and totally fun colorful vibe. The food came out so fast that had to return to take more in. The food is amazing! Zesty and filling and wonderful healthier alternative to burgers. I found it reasonably priced for such a fun taste of authenticity where one wouldn’t expect it. Double thumbs up!!

Everything was great. The food was very good and the two ladies working were attentive and very helpful. My one star off was because of plastic utensils. I hate plastic utensils.

This is the BEST Mediterranean food we have had! The owner is so incredibly kind. We got the chicken platter for lunch and it was so good that we got the beef platter to go for supper. The dolmas and spicy vegetables are so delicious. We also had the baklava, and it reminded me of the baklava my grandmother used to make. We live over by charleston so it’s a bit of a drive but we will definitely become regulars here!

This is my favorite place in the county to eat, easily. Not only is the food AMAZING, the owner is such a sweet guy! I felt so welcomed the first time I came in. He talked to me extensively about my family (they’re Greek) and his; he genuinely seemed so excited getting to talk about his story!!
I’ve pretty much eaten my way through their menu at this point and nothing has let me down. My go-to is still the beef & lamb gyro platter with extra tzatziki (real tzatziki, y’all… and it’s GOOOOOD!) and an extra side of the Mediterranean salad. The meat is always super tender, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Never had one single grain of undercooked rice. The salad is TO DIE FOR- literally the only way I will eat a raw tomato and be happy about it.
The portions are pretty big and very affordable. The beef & lamb gyro platter, my extra sauce & extra salad, and a bottle of pop comes to right about $20 before tip. I easily get two very decent sized meals out of it (I always intend to save the rest for lunch the next day but I never make it that far… I always eat it so fast).
Looking forward to eating here gets me through my weeks honestly. I have not shut up about it since I was told about it, nor do I plan to. Everyone around me knows when it’s gyro day. I make no apologies.
