Decent spot for late night fast food eats with friends. It’s open late, and pretty cheap. It’s kind of dingy, but they get the job done with the service they provide. The gyro, burger, and fries that I had were all decent. The people working there are always very friendly. Don’t expect super gourmet food and you’ll be fine.

I went to this halal restaurant after Taraweeh at 10:30 during Ramadan and ordered 4 pieces of chicken with fries. Instead, he prepared a completely different plate with rice, chicken, and meat.
When I told him that wasn’t what I ordered, he said he didn’t have chicken pieces. It felt like he only said that because I refused the plate he made based on his own choice. Rather than admitting the mistake, he claimed he didn’t have what I originally ordered.
This is a place I will never visit again.

Got lamb chops platter and it comes with 3 very decently sized chops only for $10. Usually I pay around $20 just for chops so the price is amazing. Taste was great. Had the perfect level of spice. Love that you can choose your own topics (pickles, onions, etc). Staff was super friendly. Definitely will visit again.

I tried their Gyro with tzatziki sauce, french fries, baklava. The Gyro was a little more messy than normal, also the Gyro meat is not slices, but it is small cubes of meat. The french fries are OK, the person working inside was very nice, this place has a parking lot which makes it easier to go in and out of

I did a Google search and Gyro King comes up. So I said this must be the real deal. and love Gyros with the Pita bread and Taziki Sauce (I hope I spelled Taziki sauce correctly). For starters, the meat was not on the turning burners but instead in the food cart with the rest of the ingredients. Should have walked because I was trying to be polite. This was not a real Gyro I thought. I asked the guy who does not even cook, but only prepared the food and works the register. He gives me his version of Gyro and it looks just like a “Mexican Torta de Lengua”. Again, I told him that is not a Gyro, he said it’s the best and I would love it. Stupid me, I paid for the food and ate it there. The meat was diced and chopped and tasted cold. The Tasiki sauce was watered down. Very disappointed, I ate it because in my parents house we never throw or waste food. So, I am sharing this honest review with you. Bathroom was dirty and no hand soap. The door has a sign bathroom out of service. I don’t need to use any restaurant bathroom, but any establishment should have a clean bathroom so you can wash your hands before you eat.

Don’t get me wrong the food is good but the service is wild. First off I under the language barrier but when we first tried to order we didn’t say anything that wasn’t on the menu, everything we wanted they had on the menu and we even called an hour prior to make sure they had what we wanted. He didn’t understand what we wanted exactly. which he almost made the mistake and made a second platter that we didn’t ask for, almost messing up the order. We got the kabab platter and 3 extra kabab’s with three pita breads. They charged $22. When we went to the car we noticed we didn’t have no hot sauce on the side like we asked them to neither utensils. My fiancé went inside to go ask for some and they tried to charge him extra. The hot sauce n white sauce wasn’t only for the platter too it was for the extra ones we got n the pita bread too. When you go in there just make sure they get your order 100% right so you don’t go through what we did.

I honestly wanted to like this place for the prices as it is so cheap compared to other places around, but with such low costs comes with negatives. For at least my experiences employees could not properly understand the customers, so they had to repeat themselves many times when ordering. For me that isn’t an issue as I can just point and try to use gestures to order, but the problem comes when they serve the food. When ordering the food, the staff used ONE tong to pick up all vegetables, this becomes a problem when someone has an allergy to tomatoes, olives, or anything else as it becomes cross contaminated due to the use of the one tong. So I want to warn anyone when coming here. The food on the other hand is very cheap for what you get, but not the best.

This is my first time visiting a Gyro King , and won’t be the last.
They just opened up their #3 location here in Teaneck, NJ. I’ve drove by numerous time in the past wondering when the restaurant will open up and that day has finally arrived!
There is a small parking lot off to the side, and street parking are also available.
Restaurant is very bright, clean, and welcoming.
The service staff who took my order gave many recommendations, extremely helpful, and efficient. Easily one of the best customer service experiences I have had. They work so fast!! I was in and out with my order in less than 5min.
I ordered a falafel salad plated and a Lamb salad platter, each were $7+ tax!! No joke! Select your protein for the salad platter and then you may choose your desired toppings… and they are generous with the portions.
My falafels were deep fried on the spot, and not fried in advance. My falafels where hot and crisp even after driving home because I order my food to go.
FOOD is DELICIOUS. Rice cooked perfectly! Everything made in house and FRESH. Plus, the tzatziki tastes AMAZING. I could have easily made two meals out of my falafel platter with the generous portions. Hubby was extremely satisfied with the lamb platter. Meat is cooked perfectly and well seasoned.
Restaurant seatings are available but I ordered mine to go. I can’t wait to visit them again. Next time I will bring my Hubby along so he gets to build his own platter and then we will dine in. And I’d like to try their salmon special platter.
