Dine in & Carry Out Lunch. This is a lovely Locally owned small restaurant which has been open a little over 11 years. The owner personally works & serves his customers and you can clearly see his dedication to everything he does. The entire restaurant was immaculately clean & all of the food was very fresh. It is a relaxed casual atmosphere where you go to the counter and order. He then prepares your food right in front of you allowing you to customize your plate with a wide variety of fresh ingredients. The menu has a good variety of meat options & various ways they are served. I chose to try a classic Lamb Gyro Salad which came on a bed of Lettuce with the options of Cucumber, Onions, Tomato, Black Olives, Feta Cheese, Banana Peppers, Jalapeños & his housemade Taziki sauce which was delicious. Topped with a healthy potion of delicious Tender thinly sliced Lamb Gyro meat. I added a piece of warm Pita Bread & the portion was large enough it ended up being 3 meals for me. (I got extra pita bread to go for that). My salad was a great value & was absolutely delicious. Another customer ordered the Chicken Shwarma?sp? & the Marinated Chicken was cooked to order on the flat top & looked so good that I will probably try that next time. Even with the customizations all the customers I observed while there were served quickly & everyone enjoyed their foods. I also got a piece of Baklava & it was just delicious. They also have Hummus (Chickpea dip), Baba Ganoush (eggplant dip) Falafel (Fried Chickpea Patties or balls) & many other authentic dishes. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant and plan to go back soon to try more of this man’s amazing food. It’s well worth the drive to the far east side of town.

Great food. Different menu items too. Chicken, shrimp, burger, Greek Gyro meat. Platters and lunch specials. With fries or potato tornado.. yummy. Also they have frappe’s with 9 different flavors. Handicap accessible. Ample parking and drive through. Service was quick. Can eat in too.

Visited recently for the first time and the lamb was delicious. Large portions as well, with about anything you could want in the pita. Individual pita’s or combo meals. Great garlic sauce for the shawarma. They also have other items for more American tastes: burgers, fries, tornado potato, chicken wings. Counter staff was friendly and attentive.

Don’t dismiss this little Greek treasure on the East Side of Owensboro. Tucked away in the strip mall across HWY 54 from Ritzy’s, this place offers authentic Greek cuisine full of flavor and freshly made. Their lamb is some of the best I’ve had and their chicken was well liked by my wife. The Tzatziki sauce was spot on and their Tabbouleh salad was flavorful and amazing. I couldn’t pass up trying their Baklava while there too. I wish it had just a bit more honey syrup, but it was super light and flaky as would be expected. I hope this place makes it and has the time and money to invest in seating and serving dishes/to-go containers. Spending a little on both will likely draw in more of a crowd and improve the overall professionalism and appearance of the restaurant. Overall a great visit and I will certainly be coming back for more.

Cannot complain about this place, service was fast food was hot and fresh. And the flavors were absolutely amazing. They have a wide selection on their menu, I will go back again. Today I ordered the Gyro with fries, and it did not disappoint. If you’re on the other side of Owensboro looking for a good place to eat that’s not a chain restaurant give them a chance. Very good food you will not be disappointed.

Everything was sitting and stale when we ordered, the cheese fried were not cooked all the way and the cheese tasted old. Behind the counter looked like it wasn’t cleaned in a hot minute. Same tongs were used for both meat and the cheese/toppings. The soda didn’t taste like it was filtered through correctly or the syrup was going out. The server acted like we were bothering him and he just didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. Did not have a good experience for my first time having gyros and don’t think we will go back again.

So I love a good gyro and we saw a 4.8 review here and we popped in.
Great place!!!
It’s like we walked into a Sienfeld episode of the soup guy only the guys were super kind and generous. Definitely a language barrier but adds so much to it!
They gave us samples of the lamb and chicken, and even that was incredible and well done with rice and sauce.
Like the best hidden gem in owensboro… Well Done!

Delicious traditional pita wraps (sandwiches) and rice platters. I love the gyro salad with lamb…the taziki sauce on top is amazing! My fiance prefers the chicken and rice platter and we always share an order of fries because they are AMAZING.
My daughter likes the special drinks they have, too.
Oh, dont forget the baklava – Yum

The best gyro I’ve had in Owensboro. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was great, and the staff is very polite. I’ve been here a few times now, and they are very consistent. They also have baklava, so save some room for dessert! I would also recommend the chicken shawarma.
