First you should know, February 8th they are shutting down for a week, for a menu overhaul. They will have Paninis, Sandwiches, Smoothies, Milkshakes and more. Staff is great, food is good quality. The Potato Salad is excellent. We will be back for the new menu.

Our first time eating here, but it won’t be our last! They just changed their menu and there is NO fried food – everything is grilled. What a nice change from most cafes and small, locally owned eateries. Husband had the burger and I had the shrimp poboy – very tasty! They offer side salads, mac salad, potato salad or chips. Equally as enjoyable were the servers and the customers. True hometown friendly folks.

On our drive home from my daughter’s wedding in PCB, I stumbled on Gypsy’s on Google Maps. The reviews looked great and so did the photos of the food. It’s definitely a hidden gem!
Hands down one of the best Philly Cheesesteaks sandwiches around. And the jumbo fried shrimp was ridiculously delicious. I loved the shrimp because they were not heavily breaded nor overly salty. If you love hand cut fries, these are delicious. But if you like them crispy, be sure to ask for extra crispy. Everything came out piping hot.
This is a must stop if you are traveling on Hwy 231 in Fountain. When you stop in, ask for the owner, Deborah and have her share her story. Love how she gives back to her community. Sierra, thank you for your great service.
We will definitely be back and this will become a staple in our future trips to or from the FL beaches.

As much as I really want food options in Fountain this one has never been amazing. We live down the road and there are very few options in the area so we have eaten here probably 6-8 times now. Every single time we have been, there has been something that we ordered they were out of. I get that its a small place but out of 6-8 times of going we have never gotten what we originally ordered. And then the kids meals…. The first time we went it was hand cut chicken nuggets. They were great with a good portion. The kids tore them up no complaints there. The next 2-3 times it was a half dozen frozen Tyson style processed chicken nuggets for $10. Now its a few generic frozen chicken strips for the same price. We went as a family of 4 with 2 small kids and with some chicken strips, 2 hamburgers which were OK at best and an adult chicken basket it was right at $70. Steep in my opinion for what we got. Never had an issue with service or the building. Its small so you better not show up at a busy time. If its your only option it will work but I wouldnt expect much.

Looked for a place for lunch on 231 near Fountain and really luck out when we found Gypsy’s Roadside Cafe. The food was excellent and the people warm and friendly. I had a Rubin and and the corn beef was absolutely the best I have ever had. I was told they prepare the corn beef in house and it slow cooks for 12 hours. Do yourself a favor and if you find yourself on 231 stop in.

What a hidden gem! Food was amazing. Plump fried shrimp. A BLT stacked with bacon. Clean quaint property, and friendly competent servers. It’s worth the stop – take an extra minute to find it! Menu attached (12/30/2024)

My family stopped here for a bite before our long trip back home and we were very happy with everything! The food was delicious and the service was amazing. The portions were very generous. Definitely recommend! Picture of the chicken sandwich after a few bites because it was so good!

Fish and shrimp were undercooked and the price was ridiculous. And the garlic bread is the bottom of a hamburger bun with no garlic on it. Potato salad had no flavor . Do not recommend will not be going back. Ps hair in my kids fries.
adding this to my review because I guess I can’t comment on your reply
Ok when I walked out I said that was expensive and what exactly did u do for me that you don’t normally do. Add bacon to a burger you didn’t do anything special for us! We got 2 catfish n shrimp platters and a burger with bacon and fries and 3 drinks to go. Are those not all thing on ur current menu. Dont lie and act like you did something special for us. Lieing to defent a review is poor form. And maybe instead of being offensive you should do some things differently.
I do understand what a one star rating does because I have been a cook for over 25yrs. And if you cared about that you would learn from constructive criticism instead of thinking you have nothing left to learn.
So once again you answered a question about the burger you did not do anything special for us.. And u seem like a very arogent person. I stand by what I said. Fish n shrimp were undercooked And u are correct the bottom of a bun is still bread but it wasn’t good. My personal opinion!

Great food and fresh. Very refreshing to have a solid place in northern Bay County and for breakfast too. The service was good too. So far we’ve tried the Chicken Thigh Sandwich, must try it. The BLT, and Gizzards. Try the homemade desserts too.
